Just realised that I'm yet to chronicle our trip down memory lane! Om Hasan's only request over the hols was to dine at our former go-to Indian. It's now a 4 hour round trip, but I'll be damned if it ain't worth that jaunt up and down the M1.
Their Maharaja lamb shank was every bit as good as we remembered. How good is this dish? We had lamb pretty much everyday up until BG, and it's this dish that led us to Luton.
The other wishes we ordered were also oustanding. Beautifully tangy chilli paneer, korma on point, spicy beef dish for that intense flavour, and a luscious lassi to wash it down.
As for the puddings, you can't go wrong with sticky toffee pud and a generous pool of custard. Oreo cookie dough was decent for a resteraunt. Masala Chai was necessary.
Nostalgia may have tipped the scales, but this establishment really doean't get the plaudits it deserves.
In terms of Halal, proper hmc_uk halal. Anasheed a plenty, and I would also vouch for this being a family friendly resteraunt. The generous staff really look after you here mashAllah.
