"Customizable personal pizzas! For the family who can never agree on the takeout pizza topping, even when they do halfsies. We’ve all heard of make-your-own-pizza parties, but c’mon, that’s a recipe for a trashed kitchen, with flour dust everywhere, and hours of cleanup later. Plus, it’s an involved process, too long for busy weeknights, so it’s often saved for the weekend, or, more likely, not at all. 🍕🍕🍕
My spin on DIY pizza simplifies things so it can become a realistic option for school nights. In fact, it may make it easier to get dinner on the table.
👉👉We’re talking basic cheese pizzas that you put on the table surrounded by a “pizza toppings bar.” And any leftovers can go in the lunchboxes tomorrow. freshtipsandtricks 🍕🍕🍕
HOW-TO: Take pre-made pizza dough—I used some from freshdirect and divided each dough ball in half to make mini pizzas. Form the pizzas on a piece of parchment paper, and brush crust with olive oil. I added strained, crushed tuttorossotomatoes, but you can also use any premade pizza sauce. Top with your fave cheese. I topped mine with some shredded fresh salted mozz, ciliegini, and grated fresh parm. transfer the pizza-topped parchment to a preheated pizza stone or pan. 🍕🍕🍕
Prepare your toppings. Roasted veggies, roasted pepperoni, olives, prosciutto, micro greens (I used lovedreamgreens baby kale), fresh grated parm, fresh herbs. The sky’s the limit.
Arrange everything on a big piece of parchment, which BTW makes cleanup super simple. Add pizzas and it’s time to 🍕party and let the creative juices flow.
