I catered a Brunch today. We host parties on the property all of the time but this one was different. For the first time since I've been working there our dining room was full of beautiful black women. They were social media influencers from all over the country. Entrepreneurs, gurus, specialists and so on. They were all dressed to impress, smiling and being so good to one another. They took the time to let anyone tell their testimony. I listened in. I was so moved I had to hold back tears. These women were so empowering! I would love it if they held more brunches there in the future. So...I tried this CauliPower pizza 🍕 today for lunch, and it’s pretty tasty. When it comes to cheese pizza, I’m like Kevin in the “Home Alone” movie...”A lovely cheese pizza just for me.”😜. I definitely knew this wasn’t gonna taste like my usual Papa John’s pizza that I sooo love (but haven’t had yet😩), as the crust was no where as crunchy or as thick & chewy. Perhaps I should have cooked it on the rack instead of a baking sheet. I’ll try that next time. One half (1/2) slice was 380 calories, and it had 16g of protein. However, 🅑🅔🅦🅐🅡🅔 as the carbohydrates (for those watching their carbs) totaled 37g😳. I gave 1/2 of it to my moms, and I was able to eat my 1/2 in two settings...for lunch and dinner. I don’t have to have pizza everyday, but when I want a slice I want it. I’m gonna to search for some other options that have lower carbs, but if they lack flavor, then I will eat this one or just get my Papa John’s and work the carbs out at the gym.😉 Has anyone else tried this brand? What were your thoughts overall? Or what cauliflower brand pizzas do you use where the carbs are low, but the flavor is still there?

I hiked up Machu Picchu today. Was it a challenge? Hell YES but I did it! To be honest, I didn't think I would be able to do it. There were girls smaller than me giving up and going back down. I thought to myself, I am bigger than them how can I make it to the top. I told myself several times, I'm too fat for this. How can I make it to the top and these people are smaller than me and giving up? Trust me, I was out of breath and tried. I stopped many times, I slowed down, I wanted to quit but i didn't. I made it to the top and I was so excited. Don't let your size hold you down, you got this! Half the bottle is talking yourself into it. It's a mind game! What you think, you will manifest. ONDERLAND...I believe in you now!!! 🙌🏽🎉Finally, I’ve reached this magical place after being on my STALLathon for the past few weeks. 😩😁 This past week has been rough, as I wasn’t feeling all that great (due to the weather changes/onset of my cycle), so I skipped the gym all last week. I felt so bad about it, and I was afraid that I would pack a few lbs back on without the deficits that I would get from my gym workouts. I could have done a caloric deficit, but when I’m on my cycle calorie counting goes out the window for me (REAL TALK). However, I managed to keep my cravings at bay, and was a little surprised to see this number this morning, because I feel so bloated. Plus, I felt that by the end of the month (when I do my regular weigh ins) that I would possibly reach onderland. This motivates me to keep pushing and stay focused. I see my goal weight far off in the horizon, and I am determined to get there one day at a time. As my motto has been, and will always be, slow and steady wins the race. 😉

Two words: THE BOMB 💣💥 Who said I can’t get my healthy and flavor on at the same 🤬 time?!!! I am in love with rice cakes. I always eat the plain and chocolate, but this flavor right here got me hooked. At first I thought it would have this fake buttery taste/coating on my tongue...but it proved me wrong. They have a variety of flavors to choose from (ie., kettle corn, sour cream and onion, buttermilk ranch, apple cinnamon, cheddar, sweet barbecue, caramel, sweet chili, butter popcorn, sweet sea salt & lime, chocolate, white cheddar, etc.) The next time I go to the movies, it’s gonna be ME and a bag of these posted up in my purse🤫😜 (cause that movie food costs you about a gym membership fee🤣). I feel that movie theaters should have options like these for those of us trying to watch our calories (well at least for right now...because trust and believe I eats my MOVIE popcorn 🍿 too😜).
