232KG LEG PRESS - Follow👉🏼 alexthwfitness for daily posts like this 🔥 - So yesterday I smashed legs hard, I hit a new personally best on leg press. 200kg in plates and the machine weighed 32kg, so that’s 232kg all together. I am very happy with how my leg strength has been coming along. - I haven’t been hitting squats lately, the reason is because I haven’t been feeling like I’m getting full contraction of the muscles and keep getting frustrated with myself about it. I’m going to be sticking with leg press for probably another 4-5 weeks then go back to squats and start it all fresh again.

Anyways, Still wanted to give you a little tip today; talking about REST PERIODS IN BETWEEN SETS - Use the time effectively. Many just sit around during their rest periods, but imagine how much you could get done when use use them effectively. for example; I always collect steps and listen to podcasts between my sets in training. Thus, my daily step goal of 10k becomes a childs play (I get about 3-5k steps in a workout) and I'm educating myself about stuff I'm interested in👌🏻 But I also remember times where I did all my studying for exams during my workouts😅📚 👉🏻 Of course, it should rather be a simple task and you shouldn't exaggerate it so you're still able to focus on your training properly. But if it doesn't stress you, it's definitely a good idea to use the time you have in between sets (e.g reading, listening to podcasts, collecting steps...). Chicken and mushroom pie 🍗🥧 This is my favourite thing to eat when it’s cold 🥶 and it’s all made from scratch... Method: •Cook chicken cubes in 1tbps of extra virgin olive oil and a knob of butter. Add 4 sliced spring onions and slice and 7 slices mushrooms to the mix. Add a small tub of low fat Creme fraiche and tsp of English mustard and mix. Add tbsp of plain flour and stir. Then add 500ml of veggie stock and let it simmer. Add some thyme leaves and let that marinate in the mix. Buy shop bought (soz but not soz) puff pastry and lay on top. Before you do this, remember to remove the thyme leaves from the mix. Score it with a knife and brush some milk on top and pop in the oven at 180 for 25 mins DONE You honestly won’t be sorry. This dish is flavoursome and creamy!!! Serve alongside some greens 🥬🥦 macros: protein: 19, carbohydrates: 23, fat: 58 calories per slice: 394

Velen kijken na een periode van droogtrainen altijd uit naar hun bulk. “Tijdens het droogtrainen heb ik het qua dieet al strak moeten houden, dus nu tijdens het bulken kan ik de touwtjes losser laten. Het boeit me niet zoveel als ik wat vet aankom, want ik ben toch aan het bulken”🤷🏻‍♂️💭. Als jij het doet op de Bro manier dan kom je weg met die mindset. Doe jij het op de Pro manier, wordt dit lastiger. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Met een cut is een kcal binge niet z'n probleem. Je houdt simpelweg even een of meerder dagen een extra groot kcal tekort aan om te compenseren voor deze binge, en voilá, je zit wel weer in dat kcal tekort wat nodig is om in vet% te dalen 👌🏻☺️. Bij een Pro bulk wil je een klein kcal overschot hanteren, waarin jij maximaal spiermassa 💪🏻 kunt aanzetten, maar zo minmogelijk aankomt in vetmassa 🧬. Binnen dit gegeven is het veel lastiger om goed weg te komen met een kcal binge. Wanneer jij na deze kcal bom door blijft bulken ➡️ je een paar slippertjes maakt en er een paar van deze kcal bommetjes op rij volgen ➡️ kom je al snel meer in vet% aan dan je lief is ➡️ en voor je het weet kom je boven de ideale vet% marge uit en zit je niet meer in de ideale situatie voor het maken van gainz 🤔. Mini-cutje dan maar om de schade te herstellen?😅.... Zonde maat! De ideale situatie voor het maken van gainz in spiermassa opgeven, om je slippertjes te herstellen. Maar gewoon wat blijven aankloten en jouw vet% verder op laten hogen tot aan het droogtrainen is ook niet ideaal. Hoe meer vetmassa jij aankomt, hoe harder jij ook moet werken om het er weer af te krijgen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Beter skip je jouw bro-bulk mindset ❌ en stap je over naar een pro-bulk mindset ✔️.
