Super non-fancy lunch today to break my 18hr fast. This was the lunch I packed myself yesterday but didn’t eat. Air fried marinated mahi mahi and a Louisiana hot link with 2 string cheeses. One of the best things about this time of year is that prime rib roasts are always on sale. This was 6.99 a lb at Smart and Final. I'm actually gonna break this down into single bone steaks, salt aggressively, and smoke em. Absolute trash? - I’m sure you’re wondering why this matters. (Aside from the fact of bad posture generally not *looking* good) - Over the years, pretty much every client I’ve ever worked with has been imbalanced. This happens for a number of reasons but most commonly it is caused by our habits of movement from birth. - For example the way you lean forward at your desk or while you’re reading a book or playing games (like JJ here does). The way you walk in heels or boots. When you hurt your leg and knowingly or unknowingly shift more weight to the other leg while stand or walking. - There’s many causes but all you really need to know is that imbalances are bad news. - When a muscle is stronger than its opposing muscle the stronger muscle pulls the joint in the direction of the itself. And this becomes a vicious cycle that ONLY gets WORSE when not addressed. - This specific imbalance is Kyphosis (forward head and shoulders) This commonly leads to shoulder tears, neck pain, back pain, migraines, etc. To sum up, you don’t want this! - Aside from those issues you also limit the exercises you have access to; at least ones you can do injury/pain free. - Now I know what you’re thinking “how do I fix this Andrew?” - I’m gonna give you two easy tips to a LONG question. But understand this is only a piece of the whole pie. - Two really useful exercises you can do would be a superman or a prone cobra (similar but different) - Use these exercises appropriately though. Smash burgers and bone broth for breakfast! I don't normally eat in the morning, but cooking this up for the kids got to me this time! My favorite things about a carnivore diet is the simplicity of meals and how surprisingly inexpensive it is to eat this way even when buying the best quality. Body dismorphia is such a real thing. I felt great the day this picture was taken but when my friend sent it to me I couldn't believe it...same with the picture on the right; I was rolling up my yoga mat and caught a glimpse in the mirror and didn't recognize myself.
