Super spring salad Ingredients For the spring salad 12 Jersey Royal potatoes 10 green asparagus spears, sliced on an angle 150g/5½oz young broad beans, podded 150g/5½oz peas, podded 150g/5½oz fresh or frozen soy beans 3 spring onions, sliced on an angle drizzle of olive oil 4 purple asparagus spears, sliced using a peeler 1 lemon, juice only 2 shallots, cut into rings 15 mint leaves, 10 torn, 5 shredded small bunch of chervil handful watercress punnet of pea shoots sea salt and freshly ground black pepper For the dressing 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 5 tbsp red wine vinegar 1 tsp walnut oil 300ml/10½oz extra virgin olive oil Method Bring a large pot of water to the boil and blanch the potatoes, drain and carefully slice in half. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. Drop in the green asparagus, broad beans, peas, soy beans and spring onions and cook for a couple of minutes. Drain and run under cold water to stop them cooking but not to cool them. Spread on a tray with the potatoes. Sprinkle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Put the purple asparagus in a bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice and salt to cure and soften. For the dressing, whisk together the mustard and vinegar in a bowl, slowly adding the oils. It should have a thick consistency, like a sauce. Season with a good amount of salt and black pepper. Mix all of the vegetables with the shallots, mint, chervil, watercress and pea shoots and pour over the dressing. Divide between four plates and dig in.

Beer and SUPER CRUNCHY wings... what more could you want on a Thursday for dinner? 😎🌈 ⁣ ⁣ Key to a super crunchy oven baked wing... BAKING POWDER!!! I thaw the wings the night before. Next morning I’ll transfer them to a large ziplock bag, sprinkle ~1tbsp baking powder in the bag and shake shake shake. Place skin side up on parchment lined cookie sheet and let sit in the fridge uncovered for the day. Cook at 425* until done and then crank it up to *450 for about 10 minutes to really get them crispy. Smother in whatever sauce you fancy... Salad bowl with canned mackerel ... a great alternative to canned tuna ! Mackerel is high in omegas and low in mercury ( the smaller the fish, the lower the contaminants because they feed low on the food chain; the bigger the fish, the more contaminants they eat, the higher the heavy metals like mercury )... If you don’t like sardines because of their strong taste, then mackerel is a great alternative ! Dressing ingredients ( Via Carota’s salad dressing): -1 large shallot, finely minced - 2 tbsp plus 1 tsp sherry vinegar ( if you can’t find sherry use red wine vinegar ) -1 tbsp warm water ( I used 2.5 tbsp) - 1 cup EVOO - 1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard - 1 1/2 tsp whole grain mustard - 2 sprigs of thyme, washed and stripped( I used 4 ) - 1 large garlic clove, grated using a microplane grater Procedure: 1. Place the shallot in a strainer and rinse with cold water. 2.Combine the shallot with the warm water and the vinegar, and allow to sit for 2-3 minutes 3.Meanwhile in a large bowl combine the mustards, garlic, thyme, salt, and garlic. 4.Add the shallot -water-vinegar and mix with the rest of ingredients 5.Slowly begin to add the olive oil in small batches and whisk to incorporate .... 6. Taste and adjust seasoning

BROWN RICE FETTUCCINE WITH KALE AND VEGGIES. This is my favorite go-to dinner because it’s so fast and easy to make. I boiled brown rice fettuccine in water while I sautéd mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and baby broccoli in olive oil. Citrus Shrimp and Avocado Salad 🍤🥑🥗😍 Use some of the citrus sauce from the shrimp as a double duty dressing. Or, if you don't have enough sauce for the dressing, simply use a good extra virgin olive oil (I like the lemon flavored varieties) with an additional squeeze of citrus. By @foodiecrush ~ 1 pound mediumPan-Seared Citrus Shrimp 🍤 31/40 8 cups greens such as arugula spinach, or spring mix Fruity or lemon-flavored extra virgin olive oil Juice of 1/2 lemon 🍋 or 1/2 orange 🍊 1 avocado 🥑 sliced or diced 1 shallot minced 4 ounces toasted sliced almonds Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper . Instructions: Prepare the recipe for the Pan-Seared Citrus Shrimp 🍤 , or gently warm the leftover shrimp. Or, if you prefer, serve the shrimp chilled. Toss the shrimp with the salad greens in a large bowl. Lightly drizzle with olive oil, and if desired, some of the sauce remaining from the shrimp with a generous squeeze of citrus, and toss lightly to coat. Add the avocado 🥑 , shallots and sliced almonds and then season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve. Cês pediram, tá aí! 🔹Quibe de forno ▶️ Ingredientes 600g de carne moída 2 xícaras de trigo para kibe 4 xícaras de água fervente Hortelã picado a gosto 1 cebola picada 4 dentes de alho picado Colheres de sopa de azeite Temperos a gosto (Pimenta, etc...) Sal a gosto ▶️ Preparo Misture o trigo com a água fervente mexa e deixe descansar por 30 minutos. Enquanto isso, misture todos os ingredientes com as mãos até formar uma massa. Junte o quibe hidratado. O segredo é apertar bem! Unte um refratário com azeite e coloque metade da massa, eu coloquei recheio de carne moída refogada, mas pode ser catupiry, requeijão, creme de ricota, use a imaginação! Cubra com o restante da massa apertando bem. Faça um tracejado na superfície do kibe com uma faca e regue com um pouquinho de azeite. Leve ao forno preaquecido 180° por 30 minutos, coberto com papel alumínio, retire o papel e deixe mais 30 minutos, ou até dourar as bordas! 🔹🐱 Pulo do Gato: A quantidade de água é perfeita para hidratar o trigo, pois assim você não vai precisar espremer o excesso, ele vai absorver tudo. It might be a southern thing, but I LOVE banana bread💛💛 Growing up it was something my mom made frequently. I hate throwing any food away so this is a perfect recipe to be able to use bananas that might otherwise be tossed.⁣ ⁣ This is a gluten free, no refined sugars recipe that tastes amazing!⁣ ⁣ Ingredients:⁣ 1/4 cup almond flour⁣ 1/4 cup coconut flour⁣ 2 overripe bananas ⁣ 2 eggs⁣ 1/4 tsp sea salt⁣ 2 Tbsp local honey⁣ 1 tsp vanilla ⁣ 1/2 tsp cinnamon ⁣ 1/2 tsp baking powder ⁣ 1/2 tsp baking soda ⁣ 1/4 cup almond butter⁣ ⁣ Directions:⁣ 1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray baking pan with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper.⁣ 2. Mix all ingredients until doughy consistency is formed.⁣ 3. Pour mixture into pan and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove from over and let cool for about 20 minutes before consuming.

Our most popular recipe: CRICKET BLISS BALLS!  Ingredients: 2 tbs of any Grilo cricket powder blends or plain cricket powder 8 pitted Medjool dates 2 cups almond meal 2 tbs chia seeds 2 tbs coconut oil  Method: Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and pulse on and off until it becomes a course flour. Place the mixture in a bowl. Using your hands, mix until it turns into a sticky dough. Then roll into little balls and get creative with the coating! Our favourite are cacao powder, dessicated coconut and matcha powder.
