You're on a diet, that means a lot of "can't have" are on the way. - I can't have this 🍨 - I can't have that 🍔 - Oh no no no, my diet would be ruined if I ate that (insert 🥨🥡🥧🌮🌭🥪🍕🍟🍚🍥) - You become a "can't" machine, allowing it to have the power over what you eat - You see, when you use phrases like this, you have given up your ability to control what you eat or even what you want to eat for a simple dumbed down set of words. - These words seem powerful at first, like " oh I'm so much better than that pizza, because of how special my diet is." - But in reality, you are not giving yourself any opinions and the first time you want said "can't have" food, your mind goes all haywire and you eat it all, then feel bad about what you've done! It becomes a battle between a rule you set and your actually wants. - And, as you know, your wants always win in the end. Leaving you with a feeling of failure. You ask "where was my will power?" Or " I know I shouldn't be eating this" You've taken your thought process away and allowed your rule of "I can't" take away your chance for long term success. - So, what do you do. Just eat everything and hope for the best? - That all or nothing mindset is part of the problem. You see, food is not good or bad. It serves a purpose for energy, recovery and/or enjoyment. - There is a deeper dive to be had to deal with how you see food, but for the mean time how about you adjust how you talk about food. If you find yourself really wanting something, eat it. Slowly and mindfully. When you've had enough, put it away and be done. - Don't want something or it doesn't align with you days goals. Try using words like "maybe later" or " I'm full" nothing wrong with assessing one's self and coming up with how you actually feel. - Next time you are faced with a "can't" moment, stop, think about why you do or do not want, and answer according. Making it your decision and not some rule about "things I can't have." - It's your power, don't pawn it off on some puny four letter word.

À la base j’ai commencé le sport juste comme ça en me disant que je tiendrai pas à la longue comme j’ai fait il y a quelques années. Maintenant je réalise que le sport pour moi est devenu une vrai drogue une chose dont j’ai systématiquement besoin pour me sentir bien. La musculation est devenue pour moi un échappatoire elle fait partie intégrante de ma vie et je dois l’en remercier car c’est grâce à la musculation que j’en suis là aujourd’hui, bien dans ma tête bien dans mon corps. On m’a souvent reproché de trop être à fond, mais moi j’ai envie de dire merci merci de m’avoir fait devenir la personne que je suis aujourd’hui.
