☼ CRAVINGS! ☼ As you know, I am on a spring cleanse atm, and if you have ever cleansed or detoxed, then you will know, the first few days are the hardest in terms of cravings! I generally eat really well anyway, but because I started the cleanse right off the back of a holiday, when extra snacks were abundant, as well as drinking beer every day (yes I'm a beer drinker!! Haha, I love it!), let's just say… the cravings have been REAL! My fave cravings busters are…. LOADS of water with a drop of our metabolic blend of essential oils - it has cinnamon (amazing for sugar cravings), grapefruit (a wonderful natural detoxer, metabolism booster and also great for cravings!), peppermint (a natural energy booster, also great for calming the tummy) and ginger (again, super calming for the tummy and boosting that metabolism!), it really honestly helps! As well as tea, I like to sip on a big mug of tea after meals and in the afternoon when I crave snacks or sugar! Take away or Fast food Swaps . . Fast food options or takeaway can be confusing at the best of times. But the art of weight loss always comes down to calorie intake.  Acknowledging the caloric value of the foods you consume is important as it will decipher whether you will lose or gain weight. This infographic provides a great example of options you may choose whilst eating out and how small subtle changes in the choices you make can make a difference without feeling like you’re missing out. Whether that’s Mexican, burgers or your fav 6 inch sub. . . Now, I’m not saying these should be the main foods within your diet. But it’s when we are out and about that people tend to unfold. With many of you going for options that are higher in calories without thinking about it.  These  take out options can be included in one’s diet and weight loss can still be achieved, providing a calorie deficit is still maintained. Obviously sticking to foods that provide more nutrients, more volume and are more satiating are ideal when it comes to weight loss, but being able to enjoy your favourite meals whilst dieting are important. . . Moderation and sustainability should be the forefront of your long term success when it comes to dieting. Because short term weight loss isn’t impressive, keeping it off and maintaining it over the years without yo-yo ing that’s impressive. . . Being conscious of the calories within foods can allow you to have balance within your diet and still achieve your weight loss goals. . . Gone are the days of chicken and broccoli for weight loss (you can’t tell me you get excited to come home to eat this for dinner 🤢, it’s very boring, and not sustainable or appealing and taste like sh*t). . . Remember when eating out whilst dieting, you don’t need to restrict yourself from enjoying “soul” foods you just need to moderate your consumption of these foods. . . It’s just about making smarter food choices in the moment. 💜🙌🏼

終於完成我的14天挑戰了! 在這14天裡,尤其前幾天馬來西亞的煙霾真的非常非常嚴重! 平時的我在這情況下都會開始冒痘的因為天氣真的會變得非常乾燥還有臉好像怎麼洗都不乾淨。用toner時棉花都黑黑的。。。 但是今早我拍了個照。 嚇著了, 雖然是冒了個痘,但是他現在已經在恢復狀況了。毛孔也顯然的小了。真的把我的心頭大石放下了。因為畢竟毛孔粗大會導致人看起來累累的,更糟糕是老老的。 身為一個互聯網營銷策劃師,而且還是個女的,妝容是非常重要的。。。 真的很高興認識到了Haku Haku, 不但給了我美美的肌膚,而且還給了我一個新的平台去賺取扮美美的錢🤭🤭 I have finally completed my 14 days challenge. In this 14 days especially these few days that the haze was getting serious and worst. In this kind of situation, my face will start to have breakouts and my skin will starts to feel dry... If you’re new to the gym know this: It’s likely no one is judging you (if they are it says a lot more about them than it does about you) Everyone is there for a reason- there is a mutual respect between people in the gym because although we may have different goals everyone is there to better themselves in some way 🤞 No body is better than you and equally you’re not better than anyone - being experienced in the gym doesn’t make you any more of a person and being new to the gym doesn’t make you any less. It’s like fitness in the sense that there’s no one size that fits all. We are all unique and so we must find what’s best for our lifestyle. ⠀ Some people like getting up earlier and doing a ton of things in the morning; some like to lie in a bit and get more of their work done later in the day. ⠀ Experiment with different routines and tailor your own routine. ⠀ I’m happy that I tried out different strategies and routines because it helped me finally create one that works for me. I’ve personally found planning my day the day before, to be the most impactful. It saves me the stress of planning it in the morning. I wake up the following day knowing exactly what I need to accomplish. ⠀ Before I sleep I’ll write down 3-5 important tasks that need to be accomplished the next day. I don’t write more than 5-6 tasks per day because a day is not enough, and being overwhelmed is counterproductive. ⠀ I also don’t always complete my routine every morning, and that’s fine. Aim to be consistent, not perfect. It’s what you do 80% of the time that matters. ⠀ Hope that helps, let me know what your morning routine is like, maybe there’s something new I can try. Lentil Curry 🥘🥦▪︎▪︎ ▪︎ Thissss worked out a treattt 😍!! And didn't take much time at all 😬 You may have noticedni always have a hella lot to do so waiting forever for something to cook just.. doesnt work 😂. Most lentil curry recipes use uncooked lentils but to speed things up i opted for bionaorganic Green Lentils! Anddddd it was great. Came together as a very mild curry, probably suitable to young children too! But with an addition of a few extra spices you could easily create a more intense tasting dish to your preference. What happens when I get up early for work 🤷🏽‍♀️ This dish was actually SO good, I regretted leaving half to share 😂😂 I would call it like a white version of shakshuka 😂 Try the recipe (serves 2): ➕ 2 medium potatoes, peeled, cut into small chunks and stir-fried in extra virgin olive oil, garlic, parsley,salt and pepper for 7-8 mins or until golden brown ➕ Remove from heat and add 2 cups chopped baby spinach / mix through ➕ Make 4 little coves for the eggs to fall into and break 1 egg into each of the 4 little holes ➕ Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 10-15 minutes (time depends on how runny or hard you like your eggs) ➕ Add a handful of grated cheese to the top and leave in oven for another minute Take out and enjoy! NOTE use an oven proof dish and DON’T TOUCH THE HANDLE AFTER (coming from experience) 😂😉

When I can’t resist a delicious chocolate, birthday, or cheese cake, I’ll take a few berries and thin slice of cake and eat them together to balance out the flavor and fat. Plus, they are incredible for our brain and gut health. Berries contain large amounts of vitamins C and A, essential for immunity and preventing illness. ⁣⁣ My favorite berry, and fruit, has always been raspberry. Raspberries have more fiber than any other food per gram and they fit perfectly on the tips of your fingers, which my daughter loves. When you are a sole pharmacist and have to eat sitting on a step ladder in between serving customers. But on a positive, my lunch is delicious.😋😋 It's super easy to make and its packed with veggies, and with lots of protein winning. I tend to do a lot of meal prep for lunches so it's super easy to eat healthy and avoid takeaway for lunch.🥕🥦🥬🥑🍅🌽🌯 When it comes to school lunch boxes, I know that this can be a bit tricky, especially with all the new 'regulations' that schools have enforced, restricting certain foods due to potential allergy risks etc. I read a recent article written by a dietitian where she gave simple advice on what food items should be included in kids’ lunch boxes. ✌So here is the summary guys: 🔸️🔸️. The main item - This is the 'hero'. This could be a wrap, salad, sandwich or pasta. It should contain iron-rich protein such as meat, legumes or tuna. This is what will sustain the child throughout the day and should be eaten first. When it comes to veggies, she recommends using avocado and drying off the lettuce leaves to prevent the bread from going soggy.🥪🌮 🔸️🔸️Item 2-  Piece of fruit with edible skin. It can either be chopped up into bite size pieces or cut in half or given whole. 🍓🍏🍌🍊🥝 🔸️🔸️ Item 3- This should be a calcium rich dairy food such as milk, yogurt or cheese.🧀🧀🥛 🔸️🔸️ Item  4 - Vegetable - great options are carrots, green beans or cherry tomatoes.🥕🍅🥦 🔸️🔸️Item 5 - Optional item that parents may want to pack if their child is doing an after school activity - this can be something small but fun that doesn't include heaps of sugar, such as homemade cereal slice or fruit ball. 🔸️🔸️ Drinks - water💦💦💦 ✌✌Super handy tip: - sticker system - for younger children, use stickers to indicate which lunch box item should be eaten first. Quite often, the child eats the fruit or a cereal slice, and won't eat the rest, thus not getting the optimal nutrition. Recipe in the video, Liquid Gold salad!! 🙌🏼. Tossed salad with grapes, red onion, mini peppers, carrot sticks, cucumbers grilled chicken seasoned in Cocky Pig seasoning and basted in Liquid Gold, and Liquid Gold dressing drizzled over everything. Just mix 2 parts Liquid Gold with 1 part Olive Oil and it makes a great dressing!

Farmers Markets, yay or nay?? I love that I can get super fresh local produce, buy it from a local small farmer and it hasn’t changed hands or trucks 15 times. Plus, to be honest, for the price you cannot beat it. Today’s haul scored me a small bushel of green beans, half dozen peaches, 2 extremely LARGE zucchini’s (😳) half dozen corn on the cob and a pretty good size fresh basil plant for home with a total cost of $15. I’m pretty happy.

Whether it’s the guacamole with goat cheese and pine nuts, chicken enchiladas in mole sauce or unique margaritas, everything at agavedelaware is home made and amazing. Every time we visit the Delaware Shore this is a must have. Dinner has a pretty long wait for a table, but the town of Lewes is perfect for walking around and shopping or visiting the historic homes and buildings still around from the war of 1812.

The 38 degrees Coastal Eatery at Bayside Community. You can eat your lunch on the water while your kids go crabbing!! Everything was amazing including what we had here which was: Grilled Vegetable Plate - marinated zucchini, squash, red onion, roast pepper, herb goat cheese, lemon basil pesto. Jerk Chicken Salad bowl - kale, veggie slaw, citrus segments, apples, toasted almond, dijon vinaigrette

Leave it to Tab to ask for a “Wedgie salad”. It was pretty good though and had an amazing home made Bleu Cheese dressing and chopped bacon. The pizzas were excellent topped with fresh spinach, goat cheese, olive oil, etc. if you happen to be near Ocean City Maryland this is a decent little spot.

I’m neither Mexican, nor from the street. However, this Mexican grilled street corn and tacos came out pretty decent. Not quite to amanosyracuse specs and regulation, but not bad. As we all know tabetha_and_co likes things a little spicy so I added some jalapeño to the corn sauce. Recipe below. The corn and jalapeño came from the awesome farmers stand earlier today!! - The sauce on the corn: I did 2 parts sour cream to 1 part mayonnaise. A little lime juice. 1 medium jalapeño (Most of the seeds and veins removed but left some in for some heat, and 1/2 small red onion. Add a little garlic powder, sea salt and pepper then pull it all together in the food processor. When I pulled the corn off the grill I drizzled a little melted butter that had some garlic and sea salt in it on top of the corn - The marinade on the chicken: Can’t tell you that. Hopefully I’ll be bottling that in the spring. ✌🏼But it’s pretty awesome.

Fresh pico de gayo. So F’n good. I diced up about 2 cups Roma tomatoes, 1/2 cup red onion, 1/2 cup cilantro, 1/4 cup jalapeño (seeds removed) and mixed it all together. Then I zested a whole lime and squeezed half of it in. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, mixed everything well and “Voila”. Or I guess I should say “Aqui”. I served it up on some home made tacos, previously documented on the post before this one.

No two tacos are the same. Whenever I make homemade tacos, they’re always different shapes! Here I marinated chicken thighs in a street taco marinade (home made), topped it with pico de gallo (home made) and threw it atop a Mesa corn flour taco shell (home made) that I baked with a blend of Monterrey Jack, Asadero, cheddar and OAXACA cheeses before putting the meat and pico on it. Not bad on this rainy day. 🇲🇽 🇮🇪

Pork loin brushed in Plate and Palate Liquid Gold Everything Sauce then roasted in seasoned panko crumbs, fresh rosemary and garlic. Grilled sweet potato in cinnamon, brown sugar, paprika, sea salt and pepper.
