Just me over here enjoying a little garbanzo bean salad. 🙋🏼‍♀️ So I’ve started my liver detox. I’ve actually been documenting a little bit of it over on my IG stories. Day 3 in full swing. They call this day.... ELIMINATION. Basically, the meal plan for the day.. greens, tilapia, apple, kiwi, sweet potato are just a few of the things I get to eat today. So far, I have been feeling OK. Tired and sore and I have seemed to shake the caffeine headache finally!! (That’s what I get for being such a coffee addict I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️). My face is looking less bloated and I am peeing every 10 minutes. But the party didn’t start until I stepped on the scale and my miserable outlook on this whole detox looked a WHOLE lot better.... 6 pounds have come off. 🥳 Even though weight loss is not the goal, it feels SO good to get rid of the junk that’s been collecting up in my body. Whatever it is ... it’s getting a serious wake up call! And for the record, it’s almost 2pm, I am now just eating lunch, I have not one layer of makeup on and my hair is leftover from last night’s concert. Weekend look has arrived. 😝

Spinach and blue cheese pasta! I've recently developed a fondness for blue cheese. I had bought a big block of it to go with some unsalted crackers but since my experimental mode is on, I'm trying it with a lot of other things as well. Initially I had plans of making the pasta with feta or ricotta but ended up using the blue cheese. It's a really simple dish that requires very little prep time. Blue cheese is slightly pungent so if you're not sure of the taste I would suggest you go with a cheese of your choice. . . . Ingredients 1. Baby spinach or normal spinach chopped. 2. Minced garlic 3. Roughly chopped onions 4. Chilli flakes and/or green chillies (optional) - I added both 🔥 5. Salt and pepper 6. Blue cheese 7. Olive oil or butter . . . Method Wash the spinach and dry with a clean kitchen towel. In the meantime boil the pasta with a few drops of vegetable/olive oil and salt. In a pan add butter/olive oil and fry up the garlic and onions. Add green chillies and red chilli flakes depending on how much heat you like in your food. Once the onions brown, add the spinach and allow it to wilt. You can refer to the pictures to know when it's done. Add the boiled pasta, blue cheese and some of the reserved pasta water. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. So after watching ‘The Gamechangers’ on Netflix last night I am consciously going to try and eat more plant based foods and steer away from meat just to see how my body reacts and how I feel. When I was a kid, I attempted a basic vegetable garden. I have the furthest thing from a green thumb, and what I did manage to grow was soooo far from the symmetry we see in our grocery produce. I always wondered what happened to the funky ones grown. I just stumbled upon this organic produce subscription which is coming to Florida starting on the 11th of November!
