Training and nutrition update! 🏋🏼‍♀️🍎 Whew, this week was not my week 😅... sleep was bad, stress was higher than average, digestion was off 🙅🏼‍♀️ And not surprisingly, my weight fluctuated up about a pound+ on average this week - no big deal and I have a feeling it's truly just a fluctuation. My body doesn't like when I don't sleep well and feel stressed haha 😝 On a better note, my hunger levels are right where I like them 🙌🏻 not always hungry, not always full, can fit in some treats. SMOTHERED CHICKEN Ingredients: 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (7-8 ounces each) 3/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon black pepper Topping: 3 ounces chopped fresh spinach leaves stems removed 3 ounces Light cream cheese 3/4 ounce (about 1/4 cup) shredded part skim cheddar cheese 3/4 ounce (about 1/4 cup) finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Slice each chicken breast in half, so it’s half as thick as before. The resulting pieces should be no thicker than about 1/2 inch. If moist, pat them dry with paper towels. Prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Spread out the chicken pieces in a single layer on the parchment paper. Season the chicken with half of the salt and pepper. Flip them and season the other side with the remaining salt and pepper. Set aside. In a pan on the stovetop, cook spinach until wilted. Separately, microwave cream cheese until very soft and easily mixed, about 20 seconds. In a bowl, stir together cooked spinach, softened cream cheese, and all other topping ingredients until well-mixed. Evenly spread the mixture across the tops of the chicken pieces. Bake at 425 F until the chicken is cooked through, about 20 minutes, depending on the size of your chicken pieces. Let it cool at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving. Parents are special people. Had a rough day the other day and my dad picked me up for a boxing class. The next day my mom came and dropped off spaghetti squash and meatballs and it put me right back on track, a track that I didn’t think I would find. College has been a small transition, but I’ve never been happier than I am right now. And tbh that feels so good to say after the last 3 years of struggling with mental health, anxiety, and an ed on top of it. What I think I could have improved on at my first show👇🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If I were to compete again, there’s a few things that stuck out to me that I could have done better. First being that my tan was definitely not dark enough. When you’re back stage you seem pretty dark, but under the lights I looked sooo much lighter than everyone else👻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I feel like my presentation could have been a bit more flowy, although I’m pretty happy with how my posing was for my first show. I think I’d try some different transitions and all that jazz💃🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I also feel like I peaked a day-2 days early, and could have been tighter on stage. And more SHOULDERS. It’s Week 2 of doing the 6 week strength program I’m on...And I’m loving the results so far. I haven’t trained for anything other than fat loss in about a year. So, it’s been fun getting back into lower reps, especially 5x5’s and on the compound movements! I’m eating for strength and size to add some muscle and power the higher volume workouts. Scale says I’ve gained 1.8 lbs in the two weeks! More importantly I’ve been hitting my macros consistently so to add as little “bad weight” as possible. I weigh myself once a week but I don’t stress over the numbers like in the past. OVERNIGHT OATS ❤️. . One of the easiest breakfasts to prep the night before; just put everything in a jar, leave in the fridge overnight, and add your toppings the next morning 😋 perfect to make tonight for breakfast tomorrow! . RECIPE: add 50g oats, 10g chia seeds and 20g protein (I used theproteinworks vanilla whey) to a jar. Mix well then add 150g yogurt (I usually use fage_uk 0% but I used lindahls_uk this time!) and 175ml alpro unsweetened almond milk. Mix well and pop in the fridge overnight. . This morning I had mine with lots of berries, sweetfreedomuk fruit syrup and some cacao nibs 🤗

Flexible dieting isn’t a way to fit as much “junk” as you can into your diet. Your body still needs health food for good performance in the gym and gut health. I need to stay away from pasta🙈... ingredients and seasonings are in the comments. . The ingredients I used and seasonings are listed below 😊 Recipe using 12-15 medium shrimp, 1 1/2 boxes linguine noodles & 1 bottle Garlic Alfredo Sauce (Bertolli) . . 🧭 Directions 1. Clean with shrimp with lime and salt, then season shrimp w/ seasonings listen in the comments. In medium pan pour 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and turn to medium-low medium heat, once oil is hot add onion let it simmer and then add shrimp w/ some parsley & do a quick little mix in the pan. Let the shrimp simmer in oil on each side for 2mins each w/ medium-low medium heat. Add 3-4 drops of liquid smoke in the pan let it simmer on low heat for 2mins. . . 2. In a medium pot on low heat pour the container of heavy cream and cup of Parmesan cheese. Keep on low until cheese melts completely, stir. Add in bottle of Alfredo sauce stir, add seasonings listed in comments for sauce and stir. Taste and add more seasoning if you desire, add Agave stir and let it sit on low heat covered for 5mins, stir 2.5 mins in while sitting so the bottom will not stick and cover again. . . Bring water to a boil and add one 1 1/2 boxes noodles. Add 3 drops olive oil and salt. Boil noodles until tender, drain and rinse with cold water. . . 3. Add 1/2 tsp of olive oil to pan on low heat. Add green, red, yellow minced peppers, parsley & onion. Add a dash of black pepper and salt mix around for 1-2mins until it starts to lightly cook , add Agave and mix for another minute then add liquid smoke. Let it simmer for 2mins. [optional] Steam a half cup of bok Chou or broccoli for 5mins on low. Mix and add into pasta if you like. . . 4.In a large pan on low add noodles and Cajun sauce mix and let it sit for 2mins. Add bok Chou or broccoli if you’d like and stir. Transfer to a bowl or plate and place shrimp and sweet pepper sauce on top. This made me cry while listening to the Intuitive Eating book at desk. My whole life I’ve put my worth into my body. I’ve put off loving myself until I was at a weight I was ok with. I’ve starved myself, I’ve binged, I’ve thrown up and taken diuretics, I’ve dieted and failed. But I can no longer maintain that cycle. There are so many things I haven’t done for myself because I wasn’t thin enough, or pretty enough. Because I hated myself. I’m learning that when I feel shame about myself, I have to take a minute to look at what happened to caused it, the feelings I had, and what I can tell myself instead of what I’m used to, and that my worth as a person isn’t based on my weight. I deserve to feel good about myself regardless of conventional beauty standards. My body’s ideal weight may never be conventionally “thin”, and that’s ok. It’s not shameful, and it doesn’t make me bad or less deserving of happiness. I originally didn’t post this picture because I didn’t like how I looked. I felt fat. I still do. But also, that is my genuinely happy face. I can tell I’m in the middle of laughing. I don’t have anything catchy to say, or advice. Cake and breadsticks at 3 am and still waking up today and eating a real breakfast. Carbs, fats, etc. FOOD IS FUEL. Never restrict your body from food because of something you ate the night before. That used to be my mindset but I’ve grown farrrrr past that. This morning I didn’t set my alarm, woke up on my own to make this breakfast, and I’m now watching Netflix before heading to the gym a little later and getting myself ready for the week!
