Consistency. - You can be on whatever exercise program you want, and fuelling yourself right, but if you’re not doing it consistently then you may as well just piss into the wind. - A shitty training program done 100% of the time is going to be better than a great program done 10% of the time. - Instead of trying to copy the exercise program of The Rock or an international level Ironman competitor, start by finding something you can do 3-4 days per week and do it consistently. Today I forgot to take a picture, so here’s one I took earlier. I’ve been all over the place recently (physically and mentally) and haven’t taken much of a break. However, with that being said - I’ve been feeling great. My body is feeling stronger and mentally I feel more engaged and ready for the next challenge. Have you ever been in the middle of a workout and found yourself bored, disengaged, not giving your best effort, or even wanting to quit altogether? What do you do when that happens? Do you quit? Do you put forth an effort not representative of your best? Us too!!! Which is why at The Dadbod Gym we routinely call an audible mid WOD and do what we call an “in-wod adjustment”. This allows us to keep true to the intent of a workout, but keeps us interested and having fun while working out fitness. During this particular workout we were supposed to do 30 min of runs and burpee box jumps...it became clear very quickly that we were not having much fun....”in-wod adjustment” to the rescue. Ended up doing similar style of workouts but subbed kettlebell swings and d-ball ground to shoulders.
