In case you wonder how do people do OMAD after extended fast.... well I had been practicing for last 4 months. My weekly Refeed Meal Type 🅰️ after 72hr fasts 📍OMAD 📍Volume/amount of food=1.75 to 2 days worth Typically I go for 2hr long meal, with food in the following sequence: 1️⃣soup 2️⃣vegetable salad , mixed of fiber types for nutrients. Incorporate hormonal support food per Dr Pelz’s ketobiotic list. I typically have 1.5 plate to two plates of salad 3️⃣proteins Then I go for long walk or muscle toning exercise that does not require body being very active. It takes 24 hr to return to ketosis. But on fasting days I have 100% in ketosis, plus deep autophagy ketosis, usually GKI below 1.0 All the food in the photo was from Tandoori Flames Indian Buffet for $18.50/person. The dessert is my own creation. This way of fasting-Refeed allows my food expenditure to reduce from $105/week to $50/week, Canadian dollars. I've been caught in this really weird (but common) cycle. It's basically the same old story. I went to hospital and found out that I had diverticulitis. I didn't eat for a few days (liquid diet) and then I ate everything. I would wake up and promise myself that today was the day I was going to stop eating. Not eating poorly, just stop eating. Because, I struggle with disordered eating, that's where my head goes. Making healthy choices is not where my brain automatically goes. It's a full win or a full loss. So, of course, the inner dialog I have daily went hardcore to how gross I am, or how disgusting I find myself, and ya know, it just keeps going. . I'd like to say I'm proud of myself for making a solid attempt at getting out of it, but it lasted so long. It shouldn't have been a week. It shouldn't have even been a day, but it was. .
