Flovie stands out due to their flower aesthetic. The cafe is not only specialize in coffee but also in decorated with heaps of flower and they are available to purchase. You can't go wrong with this florist cafe.
We tried their Rose Latte, Cha Siu Pulled Pork + Eggs Benny, Lamb Shank Bourguignon and French Toast Casserole together with Flovie "perfume" Mocktail drinks - Snow White (lychee, strawberry rose) and Little Mermaid (strawberry, lemon, mint).
•Rose Latte 4/5.
It has a very strong soy (or coconut) flavour with a sublte hint of rose. And the price is quite expensive in our opinion.
•Cha Siu Pulled Pork + Eggs Benny 4/5.
All elements are well balanced. Char siu was well seasoned and didn't tatse too sweet like other places. When eating the meat with poached egg and pickles, the dish really give that umami. However, we don't like the heavy vinegar taste in the pickles thou. Overall, we really love it and it definately worth the penny.
•Lamb Shank Bourguignon 4/5.
The smashed sweet potato tastes great together with the lamb. What makes this dish so special is the sourness from pomegranate. It helps balancing the dish well.
•French Toast Casserole 4/5.
The bread is crunchy and not too soggy. The ice cream is ordinary. If you have sweet tooth, it's okay to try this out.
•Snow White and Little Mermaid Mocktails 3/5.
There is nothing really special about these drinks except their cute and unique presentation. The drinks themselves tatse like fruit syrup mix with soda water. The blue liquid from litte perfume bottle does not have distinguish taste but the drinks look spectacular when the liquid is poured over. If you want something new for your photo, go for it but again they're on the pricier side of things.
Overall, the cafe is beautiful and instagramable, the service was welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive. The downside of this cafe is that it is overpriced due to presentation.
