New recipe on the blog! Those are rare these days. So I feel like we should all celebrate by making it a high carb day and eating tons of these crispy smashed potatoes with creamy chimichurri. Who’s in?
But really.. a new favorite side over here, especially paired with our classic, grilled-meat/Sunday meal formula. The last time we made em, we threw them on the smoker to avoid heating up the house. 😱🙌🏻 Life saver. (Unless you’re the one that has to manage the grills in 112 degrees. Then you come to dinner in a wet t-shirt it’s fine. #sorryross)
Ok the real star is the chimichurri. I’ve shared it before on the pork tenderloin recipe but the truth is I’ve been adding in some Greek yogurt to smooth it out more for myself and I’m OBSESSED. I finally wrote it into the recipe. It’s one of my all time favorite sauces FOR SURE. And if you hate cilantro, sub your favorite herbs! We’ll only judge a little.
Cilantro lover or hater? I need to know what I’m dealing with here. 😏 And have you tried chimichurri yet? The real deal, olive-oil-laden liquid gold? Or my lightened up versions?? Tell me someone lives for this stuff like me 🙏🏻.

When my mom came and visited me last week, we stop my Freeman’s. Creole and Cajun inspired dishes! From the hot crab dip to the voodoo chicken sandwiches, my sister even had the big easy burger. My ohhhhh my, I have never been too New Orleans and now I definitely need to take a trip!

What a lucky strike, when I flipped through my feed and found this super quick and divine recipe from Rachel @bakeritablog. Peanut butter Pretzel bites (mine with a some tahini as well) are done super quickly. Unfortunately I only got these hugeee pretzels, I’m still not sure if it’s a win to devour a larger piece of heaven😁
