No matter what your goals are you’re not going to reach them if you don’t spend the time to make a plan or prepare, write it down, get it out of your head and make it real! Take chips (or other processed foods) off the pedestal by serving it along with a meal.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ When my l’il one requests / or someone gives him a packet of chips, chocolate, cookie etc I don’t always allow him to eat it immediately (although sometimes I may). I usually tell him we can have it as part of our next meal. I would then serve a portion with the rest of his meal.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ 1️⃣ This helps to keep all food neutral. ⠀ 2️⃣ It isn’t a reward for eating vegetables or cleaning his plate. ⠀ 3️⃣Teaches intuitive eating. If he just eats that item and says “I’m full”, I remind him there won’t be any food till the next designated meal time. This gives him the opportunity to evaluate if he wants to eat something else or not. .⠀ . ⠀ When I first started this method, the ‘sometime’ food nearly always got eaten first but after the novelty wore off I started noticing him reaching for the other components of the meal first.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ I’d love to hear your thoughts on this approach. Today I am food prepping for the week and I had to try making my hummus the “fussy” way. You know, just take those little skins off each and every chickpea before you blend them into hummus. 😰🤪 It adds an extra 15 minutes onto the process but the end result is the fluffiest whipped texture one could only wish for in a hummus! Receptet ger 5 matlådor med energiinnehållet 310 kcal per styck. 180 g butternut pumpa 500 g kycklingfärs 50 g purjolök 70g röd paprika 1 förp ICA pastasås (tomat och champinjon) 230 g bönmix 2,5 dl matlagningsgrädde 4% 420 g blomkål 160 g broccoli Salt Peppar 1. Day three: Overnight Oats with jam (yummy) Cup-a-soup Chicken and Leek flavour, which I had whilst dinner was a cooking because I was starving and didn't want to go mad on the biscuits! Chilli con carne (the other half of the can from yesterday's meal) with roasted potato and cauliflower. Apparently a tin serves 2? 🤔 Nope. Side note - I'd thoroughly recommend roasting your cauliflower rather than boiling it, it is so much tastier! foodprep is what I'll be doing tonight. Must have staples in my fridge would definitely include my General Tso's Sauce 😏 Perfect for stir fries, rice dishes, wraps, tofu, Buddha bowls, cauliflower wings.. you get it basically any plant based meal, lol! Here's the recipe for you to try. If you want the same amount in the video you will need to double the recipe 🤓 💡 General Tso's Sauce: 3 tablespoons Bragg's liquid amino or soy sauce 2 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoon sesame oil 3 tablespoons agave nectar 1 tbsp cornstarch 1/4 cup of veggie stock Dried chili flakes to taste 1 wedge of lime juice, added when sauce is cooked Instructions: 1. Combine all the ingredients up to the chili flakes in a skillet on medium heat. Whisk together until the corn starch is blended in and allow to come to a simmer. Stir constantly, do not walk away. When the sauce has thickened stir and allowed to bubble for another minute. 2. HOW TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL MONDAY: Get your life together on Sunday 😜 My best and most productive/stress-free weeks, are always followed by a prepped and productive weekend. Do your laundry. Do your dishes. Bulk cook your main foods. Pick up around the house. Get organized. Get back to those you've been meaning to. Make your to do list for the week & schedule things as needed into your calendar. Kyle and I choose to use Saturday’s as our “rest day” where we’re lazy in the mornings and do something fun in the evenings. After all, it was on the 7th day that the Lord rested, and Sunday is technically the 1st day of the week 😉 We start our week off with the Lord Sunday mornings, and follow it with the gym, grocery store, cooking, cleaning, and doing anything that needs to be done to prepare for what’s ahead on our schedules that week. Yes I realize not everyone’s schedule works like this or is traditional, but I still encourage you to pick a day that is your life prep day, and make that a part of your weekly routine. Whatever day your “Monday” technically falls on, it doesn’t have to be so daunting if you're mentally relaxed & prepared 💁🏼 failingtoprepareispreparingtofail
