Lots going on in the life of tori lately! It’s long! Sorry! I have finally gotten the word on the surgery I’ll be getting on my knee. Turns out this just should have just happened in the first place! They have to: ▫️Redo the MPFL reconstruction ▫️perform the TTO (cutting bone under patella tendon and moving it all over so it’s more aligned and then screw it back in) ▫️ move my kneecap into the groove cause it sits high and move it down my leg cause again it sits high. ▫️ They are also doing a cartilage transplant cause my cartilage is damaged and too soft which will put me getting surgery again in a couple years if they don’t do it now. ▫️This is painful I guess so I’ll be in the hospital overnight and they are giving me a nerve catheter which is neat and nerve wrecking at the same time. Look it up😅 This has been giving me some INSANE anxiety lately. I hate admitting I have this because sometimes I think the term is abused in society now, but it has became a problem. I definitely let it affect my whole day and some relationship. Now, no I don’t need sympathy because it’s just part of a hurdle I need to overcome. Yes, I would love all my friends and family to care and be there for me but it definitely isn’t the case for some people and I can’t really change that about them. Sometimes with HUGE life events there can bring pain and you’ll want to take it out somewhere on someone but always realize it’s not their fault and to take a step back to examine the situation! An app my husband has brought to me and started making me do is called “calm.” It’s a meditating app to release stress and be more in control of your mind. It hasn’t been long but I am starting to be more aware when I need to breath and take a minute! I DEFINITELY suggest it for those who do have anxiety and want to try something to help it. Or even if you just want to try doing it to be more at peace!😌

Are you actually happy at your job? Do you go into work happy, stay happy while you’re there, and leave happy? Sure, work is work. But shouldn’t it have some meaning and satisfaction behind it besides the paycheck? . Let me tell you something. Trying to grow a brand is freaking HARD y’all. My day started at 5AM, I trained some clients, I worked on projects for my business for 9 hours straight, then I trained more clients...then I worked from home some more. I took a 20 minute break during this time plus a couple few minutes to check Instagram. . This is a normal day for me. Plus working out, grocery shopping, running errands, and meal prepping for both Matt and I. . I am EXHAUSTED. But I wouldn’t change what I do for the world. I can’t believe there are people who have a job they are unhappy at and only have dreams of what they want to do. . When I was thinking about leaving my safe job to start my own business, I had ZERO support. Everyone told me no. My family, my financial advisor, my boyfriend (he became my biggest supporter after not too long) . I’m here to tell you to GO AFTER WHAT YOU WANT. The worst that could happen is you fail and have to start over or try something new. That is entirely possible. But it is also possible that it becomes the best thing you have ever done and you succeed. Failure is scary. But staying in a mundane and unhappy environment for the rest of your life is even scarier. . You know what else makes it worth it? What is your why? — My drive for fitness before used to be to attain the most aesthetic body I could possibly achieve. Then maybe I would like myself and and be happy with the girl staring back at me from the mirror. If I followed my macros and my fitness plan to a T, then I was happy. If I diverted, I’d beat myself up and guilt myself into hitting the gym harder the next day. — My diet was up and down and often times, not nutritious for what my body actually wanted, which would trigger binge after binge. — The day I finally “broke” was when I finally thought of the long term. I didn’t want to be tracking macros and/or binging in secret when I was 65. I definitely didn’t want my future kids to see their mom struggle with her relationship with food and not be present for them. I didn’t want my future husband to be affected by a distant wife, who was afraid to be spontaneous and go on date nights because of what type of binge it might trigger. — My “why” wasn’t just to find freedom for myself but for my relationships with others around me. That is my why.
