Not every workout program is for everyone, but I’m always willing to try the new ones out, cause I just never know what will work for my current situation!
Even though I am not able to do my regular workouts due to restrictions while I recover from my concussion, I still finding ways to close those rings on my Apple Watch! 🤣
My body just needs to move, whether that’s walking the pup, stretching or even riding the recumbent bike on break at work... just gotta keep moving!

Anderson squats-shoes off has really helped my knee tendonitis. I always use @altrarunning shoes which are zero drop, but I guess I needed the hard surface. These felt good and this is my 3rd set of 5 in a very short period of time and my knee didn't hurt once🎉🙌🏻

Solid leg day. Working on developing my lower body and regaining strength that I lost from recovery. Just a reminder no matter how long you’ve been down GET BACK UP AND GET TO WORK❗️❗️❗️ the longer you wait the farther you get don’t miss a workout even if it’s 10 minutes, hey you moved. Full swipe 👈 LEG workout (quads and hamstrings). Save this 🔖 and give this one a go. I felt like throwing up after this. What is it with leg days and almost throwing up? Who knows... but I digress. All exercises 6 to 8 reps with a drop set on the last set of each exercise.
1️⃣ BARBELL SQUAT: 4 sets of 6 - 8 reps (I do low bar squat, brings the hamstrings and glutes in too, saves the knee)
2️⃣ SINGLE-LEG LEG PRESS: 3 sets of 6 - 8 reps
3️⃣ LEG EXTENSION: 3 sets of 6 - 8 reps
4️⃣ LYING HAMSTRING CURL: 5 sets of 6 - 8 reps
You should never skip leg day. Training legs strengthens your knee and ankle joint especially if you train them heavy with proper form. There were so many times I should have injured my ankle but I didn't and doctor's would tell me that I was "lucky it is only a sprain" after an accident.
But I know it isn't luck, don't I... it's how I train legs. Doing any heavy compound movement (not just squats) literally builds your body from within - connective tissue, bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscle.
Training legs also increase athletic performance and increases longevity. And by that I mean you won't be an old man or woman walking with the help of a stick. You will retain your functional strength for longer in your years.
Train hard, train smart, eat smart.
