Saw these pictures and honestly.. mind blown. I’ve said it before, when I’m not there mentally, I just don’t care. Literally nothing will motivate me. Depression and anxiety have always controlled me and I let my mind win every battle. The picture on the left was March 8th.. I hated going to the gym, I hated going to work (even though I loved my job), I hated pretty much everything and everyone. I isolated myself and was just going through the motions and not eating as much as I should. I remember crying pretty much every night, begging for a change, begging for something to come my way to get out of the hell hole of Houston. 💕 Picture on the right was recently! Although I’m still not where I want to be mentally as far as motivation goes.. mainly from not having an end goal or something to really shoot for... I don’t use machines to workout. I am one! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ For reals though! Kind of lost sight of why I even started climbing this past weekend. Because it's fun. It's not always about sending a certain grade. It's about fun. I need to remember that. The moment I don't it's just another frustration. So here's to forgetting about grades and just climbing. . . . Also, got to watch a 13 year old project a 5.14a and absolutely crush it. And ya it looked like he was having fun the whole time from playing with his dog before the climing, trying to pile rocks to start it, and even falling, he had a smile the whole time. One of the reasons I love this sport, it's a forever sport from oh so young too oh so old.

I swear I can not get decent before pictures to compare. I’m also not that pasty in person 😉The point though is the comparison in my legs! It’s been a year from this date. I’ve lost 30 lbs but I’ve gone up and down since then. I’ve had a few too many treats, I’ve gone on vacation, I’ve eaten that ice cream with friends, BUT I’ve never regretted it! This is all a lifestyle change. A change to improve my health, to improve my mental clarity, and to improve my overall view on life. My point? Im going to enjoy life, I’m going to indulge at times. ⚡️Variety is the spice of life. It is important to continue to add variety to your workouts as well. Your body is a magnificent piece of equipment and learns to adapt to moves and speeds. . . ⚡️This is why I’m alternating weeks of @transform_20 with other programs. Even just a week “off” adds so much to intensity to the “on” weeks. And the other programs offer different moves that work muscles in different ways, causing an increase in strength, muscle tone and endurance. . . ⚡️Yesterday’s Total Body Core with @autumncalabrese left my abs feeling seriously sore this morning (in a good way), and I know I’m going to feel the new moves from the sample workout of Morning Meltdown 100 with @jerichomcmatthews . Playing in the new back yard 🐚🌊 . We took advantage of a short break we got today from little man's tummy pains to explore our peaceful little spot by the water. It's been a rough week for him going through treatment at home and needing round the clock care has worn us both out, so taking in a little ☀ and sea air did wonders for us.
