This week’s post, Raising Generous Kids (http://textingthetruth.com/2017/11/raising-generous-kids) really hit home for me. I too struggle with generosity and my children. Some days all I hear is “I want that” at every single TV commercial. Other days they say, “I want to give X a present.” I get it. I am not consistently generous either.
Pray these verses over your children and model cheerful giving for them. In time their generosity will grow with their maturity. Just keep modeling and inviting them into your generosity.
Please grow a spirit of generosity in me and my children.
Help us to be content with the amount of money you have blessed us with. (1 Tim. 6:6-8)
Help us to trust in only You, Lord, for our security. (1 Tim. 6:17a)
Help us moms to give freely as an example for our children. (1 Chronicles 29:9)
Guide us to plan our generosity because we want to give and not due to outside pressures. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Thank you for generously supplying all our needs (1 Timothy 6:17b), Amen
Now it’s our turn. How can we pray for YOU? The team meets each Friday to pray for our readers. Like or comment below. ~ Virginia

Giving back is not only vital for some families in our community, but it helps inspire feelings of gratefulness within yourself, especially around this time of year. 🙏🏼⠀
Yesterday, Elizabeth Coryer put on one of her many hats as President of JCEO's Community Action Angels and spent time with other local volunteers, packing food bags for their backpack program. ❤️🎒⠀
At Coryer Staffing, we try to lend a hand wherever we can, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year as well—and you can to! Follow the links below to learn more about some of our favorite local volunteer programs helping to feed and support local families in need:⠀
Throwback to last year's incredible toy drive! All toys collected were given to children in the care of the Children's Aid Society. We are so excited to relive this amazing time again this year. Donations deadline is December 16th! TBTGivingBack

2019: we are in the home stretch.
40 days, 40 nights left to wrap up this year, this DECADE. Spent some time Tuesday to revisit my choices I made for the year. I use choices over goals because every day we live in choice. And little choices daily lead to bigger shifts.
How we choose to show up for ourselves. How we show up for others. And let’s face it, this journey we are in will have its ups and downs.
And this past year —this past decade—I’m reminded of the power of choice and that a grateful heart is really a magnet for miracles. So ending this year on a UP note - recounting my choices and my thankfulness.
I encourage you take a little time for you and recount your choices, your thankfulness— use for below hashtag to share (and so I can see + share your cheer!)
🎉 Have a few giveaways I’ll be sprinkling your way as the year ends - please watch my stories for more on that.

The season of giving! ❤️ Each year we make a point to teach our kids about giving. While it’s great to practice this year round, the holidays are a wonderful time to create a giving tradition in your family.
Each year looks a little different for us. Two years ago we donated 20 turkeys 🦃 to needy families. I was shocked that it only cost $279 to feed 20 families!! The things that I would blow that money on are a joke compared to providing 20 families a Thanksgiving bird 🦃
Each year buying gifts feels like a huge burden to me (stress, time, ideas, money) but giving to those who need it more...completely fills my heart with joy ❤️ Whether you have a lot to give or a little..I encourage you to use Gods grace and blessings to bless those around you. It’s our responsibility to raise the next generation with giving hearts.
PS the 20 turkey idea came from a social media post I saw 2 years ago from sarah_bowmar 👌🏻Social media can breed bullies but it can also spread love ❤️ It’s all in how you use it.
Our deadline of November 26th is rapidly approaching !!⠀
Thank you so much to everyone that has donated thus far, we are so appreciative! ⠀
The CT Post has a great article (link below) about the Center for Family Justice facility that we chose to send our donations to. The center provides a multitude of resources to those looking to rebuild their lives after escaping domestic and sexual violence.⠀

Did you know November is Rotary Foundation month?
Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.
With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.
What impact can one donation have?
💙For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
💙$50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
💙$500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
ADNP Kids Research Foundation would like to recognize our ADNP Warriors in the days leading up to Giving Tuesday, on December 3rd, 2019! We would love for you to consider ADNP Kids Research Foundation when deciding on a charitable contribution for givingtuesday!
Current age: 22 months
Age of diagnosis: 14 months “Vivienne has been impacted by her ADNP diagnosis since very early on in her life. Delayed speech and motor skills are currently two of the major difficulties shes faces due to ADNP syndrome. She works very hard everyday to combat her diagnosis. Her schedule consists of weekly therapies including Speech, OT, PT and ABA. She also has a team of medical specialists who monitor her health very closely.
We are so grateful to have received Vivienne’s ADNP diagnosis because it helped us find all the early intervention she needs to help her achieve her maximum potential. Being that her condition is so rare we felt lost and didn’t know how to help our daughter in the beginning but thanks to the wonderful ADNP tribe and her amazing team of specialist and therapists, Vivienne now has an amazing care plan and we dedicate every day of our lives to help her achieve what we know she’s capable of. We cherish her and the moments we share with her and her two older sisters. She is so young but she has already taught our whole family the biggest life lessons and for that we are beyond grateful. “
