Macro update: Since our launch of Mid-Day Squares (Fudge yah), we have received information from our customers via Instagram that some customers are finding the pre-biotic in the Yacon Syrup hard on their stomachs. We have not been getting the same feedback for the Almond crunch. Our food science team has concluded that this is because Almond Crunch uses a blend of Maple Syrup and Yacon Syrup which reduces the prebiotic in the product. . We have made the decision to bring this blend over to Fudge Yah. . When changing the amount of Yacon and blending it with maple it increased our sugar by 1g per square and lowered our protein by 1g per square. We had to lower the protein by 1g per square because as you know (plant based proteins don’t taste the best) and it was our priority to make sure that Fudge Yah tasted the same or better than before. . It is integral for us as a company to always be 10g or under of sugar and to maintain an incredible taste for our consumers while still using real and clean ingredients. . Let’s fucking explode. 💚1-Pan Green Beans w/ Slivered Almonds 💚 my favorite no-fuss quick and easy way to prepare green beans as a holiday (or weeknight) side dish. They’re tender, incredibly delicious, FAST, and simple. I don't bother boiling and blanching them and I find that not only does that save time but the flavor of the green beans is so much better. I add the slivered almonds to the pan at the end for a nutty yet sweet crunch that compliments the green beans perfectly. . Here is how I did it: . 1️⃣ Heat a large rimmed skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 1 pound of green beans (ends and stems removed first). 2️⃣ Season with 1/2 teaspoon pink salt and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. 3️⃣ Cook for 10-15 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally. In the last few minutes of cooking, add the almonds and toss. 4️⃣ Serve immediately.or reheat up for up to three days later on the stovetop over medium heat until hot. vegan glutenfree

This time I used 1/2 cup of bulgur and about 1/3 cup of peas, but I also tried with brown rice, mushrooms and some veggies... it always works *1 cup = 250 ml . . . DIRECTIONS 1. Mix all dry ingredients 2. Add the water and stir with a fouet or fork to obtain a homogeneous mixture, without any lumps 3. Add your herbs, tomatoes and leftovers, mixing to combine. 4. Pop the mixture into a preheated, non-stick pan with a little oil. 5. To get to your real why, ask yourself 5 times (if you don't know this exercise, let me know below and I'll elaborate. It's super powerful!) ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ➳ If there are no vegan restaurants around you, you can always look at the menu or any restaurant and see what kinds of plants are on it, and tell the server "my doctor told me, I cannot eat xyz". Ask them for a baked potato with hot sauce, a salad without dressing, just lemon juice (you can bring avocado with you), or anything else that works for you.  Or tell them what you eat and what you don't, and just ask them to make something for you. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ➳ Call the restaurant ahead of time and arrange it. Remember, restaurants want happy customers and they will do what you cordially ask them. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ➳ An amazing tip from therealchefaj: call ahead and tell them you will bring your own food. Ask them to please put it on a plate for you, and you will pay for it as if you're eating a regular restaurant meal with everyone else. ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ⚡ Bottom line from purpose.byjenniferzee and I: Don't be afraid to ask! This morning I wound up in hospital due to an apparent allergic reaction. I have had eczema my entire life but never so severe, and overnight it spread from just my arms and legs, to also my chest, shoulders and back. I haven’t been sleeping well, but I can’t get into the allergist for another month. I have dermatologist and naturopathic doctors appointments getting lined up, but for now I’m completely avoiding soy and gluten in addition to my usual vegan diet. I have no idea what’s causing this, but it’s INCREDIBLY itchy and really taking a toll on me mentally. I’m reading all the information I can find, but there isn’t much I can find about healing eczema from the inside out. It could be a food allergy, environmental allergy, mold, stress, anything really. I need to get to the bottom of this before I lose my mind. Today’s lunch was a simple gluten-free pasta with sautéed veggies. Comfort food as best I can do with not knowing what I can or can’t eat! Breakfast: Blueberry Buckwheat Porridge (GF,V)⁣⁣ ⁣ Just felt like a purple porridge this morning💜 ⁣⁣⁣⁣ INGREDIENTS (1 serving):⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🥣 1/2 cup rolled 100% buckwheat flakes⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🥣 3/4 cup boiling water⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🥣 3/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (I used Cashew Mylk)⁣ or water⁣ 🥣 1 tbsp maple syrup *optional*⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🥣 Blueberries (frozen or fresh) as toppings⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ INSTRUCTIONS:⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 1. Preheat oven to 300F/150C.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2. Line baking try with parchment paper.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3. Spread raw buckwheat flakes on the parchment paper and bake 3-5 mins in the preheated oven or until it becomes slightly golden brown (see photo 2)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4. When done, transfer roasted buckwheat into a small sauce pan.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 5. Add boiling water. Mix and let it cook on medium high heat for 1 minute or until bubbling.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 6. Add non-dairy mylk (or water)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 7. Bring it to a boil on medium high heat. Then, simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Mix regularly to avoid sticking to the bottom of the sauce pan. Add more mylk or water if the consistency is too thick.⁣⁣ ⁣ 8. Add blueberries. Mix. Bring to a boil.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 8. Ready to serve when porridge reaches your desired consistency. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 9. Add maple syrup to taste. Ready to eat😄
