🍫 CHOCOLATE FLAPJACKS 🍫 Ok so I found it really hard to photograph only 3 flapjacks thanks to Mr Bowl devouring 4 of them 🙄 But I hope I can do them justice as they taste INCREDIBLE 😍 Keep tagging me in your creations, it makes my day to see them 🥰 DB x INGREDIENTS ▪️1 cup oats ▪️1/3 protein crispies ▪️3 heaped tbsp raw cacao creativenature ▪️5 tbsp maple syrup ▪️20g chia seeds ▪️1/3 cup melted coconut oil ▪️1 tbsp vanilla extract METHOD ▪️Preheat oven to 180oc and line a baking dish. ▪️Mix all dry ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl ▪️Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan. Once melted, add the syrup and vanilla to the mixture and stir to fully combine. ▪️Then add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir once again. We were busy and didnt have time to work out. We were tired from 2 kids. We wanted to be healthly but didn't know which way to go. We barely had enough hours in the day to work, come home, and take care of life. Capturing moments in pictures fell to the wayside. We didn't want to be in the pictures. We were lost, exhausted, and unhealthy We decided to start this journey in April 2019. We didnt know where it would take us, but knew we needed to try. It was so hard to take before pictures and actually look at them. We avoided pictures at all cost. However, we walked in faith and saw results immediately on and off the scale. Before we knew it we were not only doing it, but rocking it. It was a transition but after it became routine, it was easy. We have found a new life. We have become people who are no longer insecure, embarrassed, and afraid to be in the pictures. This program has transformed our lives...physically and mentally. We lost weight in all places of our body. We are proud of our discipline, accomplishments, and determination. One hundred pounds down and counting. It is not a diet but a lifestyle. Set backs are lessons. Mistakes challenged us to correct our behavior. Weak moments ended up making us stronger. One day at a time; moment by moment, choice by choice. We did it and are doing it.
