Sometimes we have to choose what we want most over what we want right now. . . I started learning Spanish over 3 years ago and have definitely got lax and let it slide. But you know what, we can pick back up where we left of right this moment and not wait until tomorrow! Yes I could put on Netflix but in the end I’ll be a lot happier after I put in some time studying. . . I’m all for doing what we love and kicking the rest to the curb but doing something hard isn’t always going to be fun. It’s way more comfortable to do what we’ve always done, stay safe, can’t fail if we don’t try but we’re capable of doing hard sh*t! . . It’s the same with weight loss or getting healthy or any new habit! Make the decision that it’s what you want, make daily choices that align with your goals. Sure sometimes it’s uncomfortable but growth and change don’t happen in your comfort zone. . . Tell me are you working on a health or weight loss goal? Are you learning a new skill? When I started my wellness journey I recieved alot of pushback from MYSELF. I would rather watch TV then go for a walk or I would rather eat fast food than cook a healthy meal. It took ALOT of my mental strength to be able to start doing the things that are better for my body and my family. Realizing there were so many things in my life that needed to be changed to make a difference was terrifying, exhausting and expensive. But not everything had to change at once, I could ease into this right? So I did. Slowly. Ditching and switching. I started going for more walks with my family, watching less TV. It felt amazing to spend more time being active with them! . Then I focused on sugars and some of the other things I was putting into and on my body. I've kicked back on soda. I found better alternatives. I also found ways to make water more appealing. . Now it was time for the household products. So many contained things that were not good for you it was nauseating.. 🤢 literally. Cleaners that you arent supposed to get on your hands or inhale? How does that work when you have to touch what you're cleaning after? My house isnt for show I use my table, I walk on my floors. That stuff would sit there on those surfaces after cleaning so how good was it for you to keep touching it? Being able to clean my entire house with one product and feel better about the girls being able to touch everything (or in lilys case put everything into your mouth🤣) is key. . . My wellness journey is still just beginning but there are so many things I no longer have to worry about <3 the fact that on this journey I can also choose to help others with their wellness and get paid? I actually just went over the ergonomics with my friend the other day to limit his wrist flexor tightness and transverse carpal ligament. . . Desk Job Set Up 🤙 Wrists in Slight Extension 🤙 Keyboard elevated 🤙 lumbar Towel roll 🤙 Computer screen Eye level 🤙 Head Posture Neutral 🤙 Wallet removed out of pocket 🤙 Lifestyle Hacks on Prevention . . Here are two good exercises you can perform simply at your desk. . . Wrist flexor stretch and Transverse Carpal Ligament stretch ! . . Having your wrists in slight extension allows the wrist flexors to be put on stretch while initiating the movement of typing. The key muscles that run to the ends of your fingers become taut when repetitive wrist flexed posture becomes the norm and long hours at the desk. You know what we say lengthen and strengthen. Type with the wrists in slight extension allowing for optimal lengthened positioning and reduction of carpal tunnel injuries. Keeping a stretching routine daily with these two simple 1 min stretches during lunch breaks to assist in keeping those tissues from loosing their extensibility. 1 min stretch goes a long way in prevention. . . Also note that with proper body mechanics your distal extremities will take form. Spine leads and extremity follows. Good cervical neutral position decreasing forward head posture, appropriate lumbar lordosis removing the excessive posterior pelvic tilt will set up those wrists for better success in the long hall. . . Tag those desk peeps that could use a quick adjustment in ergonomics!

Like, when we woke up, after a snack, after exercising, etc. . We should drink water regularly not just to quench our thirst, but also for our body. . Drinking water allows the body to get rid of toxins that might be lingering from inside.👍😂 . If you are not drinking enough water, you are bound to get more illness or diseases... . I just find it easier to have a huge bottle of water because I don’t always get the chance to re-fill it throughout the day. . . 💧 MAKE IT YOUR WAY - Tailor it to the way you like it! Instructions 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Place all ingredients into a bowl and toss to coat well with the vinaigrette. Garnish with a little more fresh mint.
