We made Gaajar Halwa. By we , I mean my mother made it and I watched her.
It's not as challenging as I expected. You do need a full day for it though but it doesn't need a lot of your attention while the milk reduces. We started at about 2.30 PM and i left it to cook while i was moving about. Just make sure to mix it every now and then to avoid it burning at the bottom. On my stove it was reduced by 6.30 PM.
My mom suggested a non stick pot so we used the Fig Pots from @2_ma_2_ .
I'm currently sitting and eating it straight from the Tupperware.
I hope you get to make it soon!
Ever tried Litti Choka ? It's a Bihari recipe made with whole wheat, black gram flour and brinjal/eggplant. The dish tastes amazing with a dollop of ghee is poured over the litti balls.
