Breakfast! Simple, but always delicious. I think one thing that intimidates people is the thought or fear that Keto may be too complicated for them. Fat Bombs Keto: Chocolate Almond Fat Fudge Recipe It’s decadent, nutty, and rich. It’s full of healthy fats from coconut oils, yet it tastes more like a brownie. It’s a piece of heaven in your mouth. And since it’s dairy-free and vegan, it’s perfect for those on a vegan keto diet. It’s truly the best keto dessert for both when you need to reach ketosis and when you crave sweets. If you are a beginner and struggling to up your fats, this fat fudge is also a great way to meet your macro. Another thing you may feel lacking on your keto diet is sweets. By using a sugar-free keto sweetener, occasional sweets are totally doable on keto. Lastly, let me point out how this fat fudge stands out from other ordinary fat bombs. The secret to giving these fat bombs a brownie-like texture is the coconut flour and Cacao powder. Without them, you’d get more of the creamy texture rather than fudge brownie. As for the almond butter, I personally prefer chunky kind for this recipe. But it’s really up to your preference. INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted at room temperature 1/2 cup raw, unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 cup raw unsweetened almond butter 1/4 cup coconut flour 1 tsp liquid stevia INSTRUCTIONS Line a 6-8 inch shallow baking dish with parchment paper. Let extra overhang to make removal easier. In a mixing bowl, add the melted coconut oil. Stir in the cocoa powder and add in the almond butter. Mix until smooth. Add the coconut flour and liquid stevia and mix some more to let it blend. Taste and adjust the sweetness. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and smooth out the top. Freeze for 20-25 minutes or until the fudge is set. Once set, lift up the fat fudge using the overhanging parchment paper and cut into 16 cubes. You can store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 weeks. TransformationTuesday - It's a powerful thing to look at a picture and not hate what you see. I never *felt* like I looked in the lefthand photo. I didn’t feel bad about myself unless I was looking at a picture, so for a long time I stopped taking them. Or I’d hide myself in the background.⠀ .⠀ . My entire life I’ve had a tendency to let one meal define how I eat for the rest of the day. Or week. Or month. Every “slip up” became a justification for a way of eating that was, honestly, a form of self punishment.⠀ . .⠀ I finally made a choice. I had this realization that every single choice I make matters. Every time I decide what to put in my mouth, it’s an important choice. Every time I make the decision to move my body or watch TV, it’s an important choice.⠀ . .⠀ At 36, I’ve finally found balance. If I “slip up” I don’t punish myself. I get right back on plan and move forward. Do you want to know why there are so many fat people today? The food we eat doesn't contain what our bodies need, there is plenty of sugar, there is plenty of fat, but there is very little else. And what happens when we eat this modern food is that we don't fill full, because we don't get the vitamins, we don't get the minerals that we need, therefore we just keep eating - because the bodies is screaming for more minerals etc. and when we keep eating, we become fat. So it's not a general decline in human quality causing this, it's not a modern lifestyle problem. The problem is the food we eat. Modern agriculture has ruined most of the food plants, meaning the plants they grow today have much less vitamins and much less minerals than the exact same types of plants had only 50 years ago. The difference is significant. If you one day take a walk in the forest and find some wild edible plants and eat them what you will experience is that you eat a little bit and you will feel full, because the wild plants, they do have all that you need. They are not ruined by industry, they are not ruined by modern agriculture, therefore you don't need to eat a lot of it. The solution? Collect herbs and edible plants in the wild, and grow your own food. Use only 'heritage seeds'. Buy less and less of the food you need, until you don't need to buy anything at all. What happens then? Your health will improve and you will become and feel FREE. "Civilization" will be the doom of the modern man. So stop being modern…
