{NEW} Bacon Wrapped Butternut Squash Fries 🥓🍠🍟 This little food experiment worked out REALLY well because the bacon grease took the place of the oil needed in typical baked fries, and crisped these babies up nicely! Also, the sweetness of the squash combined with the salty bacon is surprisingly one of the best combos I've recently tasted! Yeahhh...I like to wrap bacon around lots of things...lol...but before you go crazy on me, please know that our family usually eats bacon just a few times each month, and we TOTALLY enjoy it! There are many high quality bacon options these days. Look for nitrate free, and humanly raised if possible. makes 6 servings Ingredients: 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and seeds removed (choose a long squash to get more long strips) 1 lb. thin cut bacon slices, nitrate-free, cut in half 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste Instructions: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees f. and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a very sharp knife, carefully cut your butternut squash into 1/2" thick strips. Wrap the 1/2 bacon slices around the fries and place them onto the prepared sheet pan as shown, leaving about 2 inch space in between each one so that they can crisp up. Roast for about 30-35 minutes, until squash is tender and bacon is browned and crispy to your liking. Serve the bacon fries hot and sprinkle with sea salt, freshly cracked pepper and chopped parsley if desired. Yesterday, I mentioned that maintaining a healthy weight is recommended  to support positive IVF outcomes. I struggle with giving a recommendation surrounding weight goals without providing more detail. . I have seen people lose weight quickly by living off of an MLM-purchased shake system and protein bars. I have seen others who would be considered overweight and eats tons of produce, fish 🐠 , and nuts. Yes, losing weight/ maintaining a healthy weight for your body may support your fertility goals AND support a healthy pregnancy according to the literature. BUT, weight is not the only piece of the puzzle. . I have seen success with clients who focus on the guidelines of the Mediterranean diet: produce, fish/seafood, whole grains, nuts, seeds, etc. They also include the aspect of the Mediterranean lifestyle of eating with others and being physically active 💃 . The goal is not weight loss, but often it happens naturally. AND the body is loaded up with tons of healthy and fertility-fueling (or pregnancy-fueling) nutrients. . I hesitated to mention weight on yesterday's post for this reason. Please don't focus JUST on weight if you are trying to lose a few for fertility goals. What you are eating to fuel your fertility and nourish your body is SO important. Starving yourself to hit a number on a scale will be counterintuitive (I think I used that word correctly?). . And although the medical literature supports maintaining a "healthy BMI" for positive fertility and pregnancy outcomes, just remember that skinny does not always mean healthy. . Any questions? Итак я думала, как же приготовить печень и не почувствовать ее ненавистного мне запаха и вкуса😣 Надо же сделать карни-кето хлеб!🙄 со специями как для хлеба бородинского к примеру) - 3 яйца -200 г печени -приправы -сода + ябл.уксус (гасим соды уксусом) Приготовление: отварить не долго печень, измельчить до состояния паштета. Затем половину я достала - добавила яйца, приправу ( кориандр, суш.укроп, соль, чеснок гранулированный) , уксус с содой - перемолола - добавила оставшийся паштет - перемолола , посыпала для красоты кориандром и в духовку на 180гр. На 40 мин. Keto/ Low Carb Pandan Waffles. You can find Pandan waffles at Asian Supermarkets. I loved eating these growing up. They’re a nice sweet treat, but they’re full of sugar and carbs. I followed wholesomeyum coconut pancake recipe but tweaked it by using unsweetened coconut milk in sub of HWC and Pandan Flavor (dirty Keto) in sub of Vanilla Extract. I added 2 TBS of unsweetened coconut flakes. I doubled the ingredients the recipe called for and was able to make 8 mini waffles in my Mini Dash Waffle Maker. My 2.5 year old loves it too! Not so much my 5 year old since he’s so picky 😆 ———————————————- 6 TBS Coconut flour 4oz Room temp cream cheese 1 tsp Baking Powder 4 Large Eggs 4 TBSP Unsweetened Coconut Milk 1 tsp Pandan Flavor/ Extract 2 TBS Erythritol (or any sweetener of your choice) Blended in nutribullet, then added 2 TBS of unsweetened coconut flakes and mix well with spoon. . Lo he hecho a ojo 😉. _______ ☘ 3 huevos ☘50 gramos de harina de almendra o almendra molida ☘20 gramos de harina de coco ☘ 25 gramos de coco rallado ☘50 ml de AOVE ☘ 70 ml de leche de almendras (puede ser casera o comprada, yo uso la de la ecocesta sin azúcares añadidos, me encanta: pura grasa y 0 g CH)☘200 gramos de puré de calabaza casero ☘ 2 cdas de cacao en polvo ☘20 gramos de eritritol (usa otro endulzante y añade más si lo crees conveniente, para nosotros con 20 gramos es perfecto) ☘15-20 gramos de mandarina (gajos enteros ya pelados) OPCIONAL + Un poco de la ralladura (eco ) ☘1/2cdita de bicarbonato o usa tipo Royal ☘ un toque de cardamomo en polvo 👉 tan fácil como mezclar todos los ingredientes hasta tener un mezcla homogénea 👉 rellenar el molde y hornear 30 minutos aprox a 180°.
