Nettles.. They are actually a superfood!.. Let me teach you something!
Formic acid is what gives you the sting, this is neutralized easily by heat.
Nettles can be eaten after you have used them for "Nettle Tea". The stinging nettle contains 28 times more iron, and 9 times more calcium than spinach! ...(Popeye should have ate nettles!)
To make Nettle Tea, Cut the top 20cm off the plant(Use Gloves, or Tongs), as this part is highest in nutrients.
Add the nettle leaves to hot water ideally 70-90 degrees Celsius, to neutralize the formic acid. no more than 90 degrees.
Now soak the leaves, covered in any kind of container or teapot that can withstand heat for 20 minutes. If you going to make a batch, make it big, and refrigerate your tea, so each time you get a drink, just ad a bit of nettle tea to your beverages, or drink it hot with honey and lemon(only add honey and lemon at no hotter than 50 degrees, or it's not good for you).

After the making of nettle tea, you can eat the leaves, as they are highly nutritious, and taste like spinach.
Max Dose 3-4 cups per day, as you will visit the dunny alot! You can tell it's nettle tea by seeing a solid green liquid, and it really has such a mild taste, if you mix it with other flavours.
keep a bottle of concentrate in my fridge, and add it to atleast 1 tea per day, and a post workout beverage.
