Vacaciones, alimentación y cuidados, cómo se manejan? 😳 Sabemos que durante las vacaciones es donde más transgresiones ocurren a la dieta sin gluten y, en general, a todo tipo de dieta!!! Ya sea por falta de opciones en el lugar de destino, por desorganización o simplemente porque queremos probar todas las cosas ricas que se crucen en nuestro camino 😆Qué hacemos entonces?? Lo mejor es no seguir ninguna dieta estricta, es decir, trabajar en los hábitos y además, todo depende de la situación de cada unx. En mi caso, al ser celiaca, la dieta sin gluten no es negociable, hay severas consecuencias para la salud en el mediano y largo plazo, que van más allá de las molestias intestinales. Por suerte, hoy se pueden encontrar muchas opciones en Argentina y en otras ciudades 👏👏👏👏Ahora, si el enfoque está puesto en la alimentación saludable, la mirada es más flexible y me parece perfecto aprovechar y probar todas esas cosas ricas mientras sea con moderación. Ejemplo: tomo un helado 🍦y no 1/4 o 1/2 kilo 😄En esta foto les dejo un almuerzo rápido que preparé con una rebanada de pan con semilla, huevo, una feta de jamón crudo y una naranja en reemplazo de la ensalada (que no tenía a mano) ☝️Siempre se puede preparar un plato equilibrado incluyendo proteina, carbohidratos y fibra (que sea rico y saciante). Diet culture be like "Only eat these foods at these times of day BUT not too much, and don't eat those foods EVER except sometimes it's okay, and you must do this workout for this long at this intensity or else don't even bother, oh and eating past 7 is NOT an option so just drink water if you're hungry...easy enough right?! Right??" 😵😵😵⁣ *⁣ Diet culture makes health WAY more complicated than it needs to be.⁣ *⁣ It paints an "all or nothing" picture which is very dangerous for two reasons 1) it can lead to obsessive, disordered behaviors or full blown eating disorders and 2) it can cause you to feel so overwhelmed you completely ignore your health.⁣ *⁣ It doesn't have to be this way! Health is an accumulation of our habits over time. Just because you miss one workout or have a week where you're eating heavier than usual doesn't mean that BOOM you're unhealthy. And it certainly doesn't make you a failure. ⁣ *⁣ Also, diet culture rarely takes our mental health & acts of self care into account. Constantly worrying about & micromanaging every morsel of food that enters your body is stressful AF and NOT healthy. Going to the gym anyways when your body is in pain and you're running on fumes is NOT healthy. ⁣ *⁣ If you want to improve your health but are feeling overwhelmed, I recommend starting small! You don't have to do ALL the things all at once. So maybe you start adding a veggie you enjoy to dinner each night, or start taking walks around the neighborhood, or occasionally swap your go-to snack of potato chips with something less processed.
