Took pinchofyum ‘s no boil baked penne with meatballs for a whirl last night and the beasts LOVED IT. They didn’t even notice the entire head of spinach hidden in there 😂. The recipe calls for 8oz of pasta — I used a full 16oz and added a good splash of chicken stock to compensate. It worked out really well. I had the meatballs already in my freezer stash from last week, so the whole meal only used the casserole dish (minimal dishes are key to survival over here). One of my favorite foods on earth is a baked pasta. I don’t care what shape the pasta is, or what kind of sauce, meat, veggies, or cheese adorn it. Baked pasta in any form is the best. There are literally tons of baked pasta recipes out there, and my goal is to eventually make them all. This recipe for “Sausage Pasta Casserole” from foodnetwork is a keeper though. I love the sweet Italian sausage, the fennel, the cream. I make it almost exactly as the recipe is written, except I do not add the cheese to the scalding hot pan anymore. It’s impossible to clean. I pour half the pasta into the baking dish, cover it with half the cheese, the rest of the pasta, and then kind of mix them together in the pan with a spoon. It saves a ton of clean up. Also I like to make sure this pasta goes into the oven pretty wet. It dries out quite a bit while baking, so I almost always add pasta water to loosen it before I add the cheese and bake it. (зависит от жирности мяса) или 50-70г сливочного масла К кусочкам курицы добавить нарезанные полукольцами лук, четвертинки помидоров, приправить солью, перцами, чабером, перемешать. За старание akopian_armine 😻 Выложить эту массу в огнеупорную подходящую миску , накрыть кастрюлей и перевернуть, чтобы миска с содержимым оказались в кастрюле. Или в центр кастрюли выложить мясо и накрыть миской. Сверху поставить груз, залить кипятком, поставить на плиту и после закипания на среднем огне варить под крышкой минут 30. По истечении этого времени промытый рис выложить вокруг миски, добавить масло, посолить. Под крышкой на среднем огне довести до готовности, пока рис не впитает в себя всю жидкость - примерно 20 -25 минут. Миску аккуратно вытащить и наслаждаться вкусным, ароматным блюдом. Ingredients Sauce – * 1/4 cup soy sauce * 1 teaspoon ground ginger * 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper * 1 teaspoon brown sugar Noodle Stir Fry – * 6 oz ramen noodles 2 packages * 1 lb ground pork * 1 Tablespoon sesame oil * 1/2 medium onion sliced * 5 cloves garlic minced * 6 – 7 cups cabbage and carrots 14 oz bag coleslaw mix * Green onions for garnish Instructions Sauce – 1. Mix together the soy sauce, ginger, crushed red pepper and brown sugar 2. Set aside Noodle Stir Fry – 1. Cook the ramen noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes, do not use sauce packets 2. Drain and set aside 3. Cook the pork over medium high heat until no longer pink, 3 – 5 minutes 4. Remove from pan and set aside 5. Add the sesame oil to pan 6. One Pot Oktoberfest made in the QuickCooker was delicious tonight! INGREDIENTS 4 slices bacon 3 bratwurst 1 large yellow onion 1 lb. (450 g) “B”-size red potatoes (about 5–7 potatoes) 3 medium carrots, peeled 1 tsp (5 mL) canola oil ¼ tsp (1 mL) salt ½ cup (125 mL) beer (lager) ¼ cup (60 mL) whole grain or stone-ground mustard 1 tbsp (15 mL) apple cider vinegar 3 garlic cloves 5–6 parsley sprigs DIRECTIONS Slice the bacon into strips and quarter each bratwurst with the 8" (20-cm) Chef’s Knife. Halve and slice the onion, then quarter the potatoes. Slice the carrots on an angle into 1" (2.5-cm) pieces. Set the Quick Cooker to SEAR and press START. Heat the oil in the inner pot for 3 minutes. Add the bratwurst pieces and brown for 2 minutes, turning once. Transfer the browned brats into the small Steamer Basket. Add the bacon to the inner pot and cook for 3–4 minutes. Add the onion and salt and cook for 3–4 minutes. Stir in the beer, mustard, vinegar, and garlic pressed with the Garlic Press. Cook for 3–4 minutes. Press CANCEL. Add the potatoes to the large basket and place the carrots on top. Place the small basket into the large basket, then place both baskets into the inner pot (see cook’s tip). Lock the lid and select the STEAM setting. Adjust the time to 3 minutes and press START. When the timer is up, press CANCEL. Press the steam-release button to manually release the pressure. To serve, transfer the ingredients from the baskets into the Large Serving Bowl. Add the remaining ingredients from the inner pot on top of the bratwurst and vegetables. Top with parsley grated with the Herb Mill.
