These Peach Bars were the first thing I made with my lug of peaches my in laws brought back to me from Colorado. (that’s apparently orchard talk for a big ‘ol box of peaches. I’ve successfully managed to bake my first loaf of pumpkin bread and I mean come on, nailed it. while I gather all my ingredients and get the steps together, I wanted to share a few general tips that can make baking some of these ~insta~ recipes more cost efficient many times, I see people using expensive items or ingredients not all stores carry 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know you all aren’t Whole Foods regulars, maybe you don’t even have one by you! (shocking 😱) . 💰 I shop at aldiusa, always. You can find many items used in niche recipes for way cheaper! I’m talking everything from flax meal and avocado oil to organic produce and GF or vegan alternatives 💰 costco is another money saver! I get twice the amount of almond flour there for a much cheaper price (bonus when your significant other has a membership you can use!!) 💰 DIY or swap out pricey ingredients.. you can make your own oat flour by tossing a cup of rolled oats in a blender or use a nut butter you have on hand if a recipe is calling for tahini (most times these works perfectly) . TLDR? you don’t have to rack up your grocery bill to try not recipes or feel good about what you’re making ✨ any other hacks you use?

Chocolate sourdough because it's a special sourdough for sourdoughseptember. Thanks to susanhammond for bringing therealbreadcampaign to my attention. This is Jennine Walker’s double chocolate sourdough recipe. "Deeply flavoured with cocoa powder and dark chocolate". The best part about this loaf is that when you toast it, the chocolate chip melts and forms little pools of chocolate. It was supposed to be a Sunday bake but Sunday turned out to be busier than I expected so I stuck the dough in the fridge for a slow proof and baked it on Monday instead. For anyone who was with me when I started on the sourdough journey, you'll see that this is a big improvement from my first loaf. I have to work on my scoring. Getting a proper blade would probably help so I'm not hacking into it with a kitchen knife. Coming home from a two and a half week vacation can be a total bummer, but being able to get into the kitchen with so much inspiration from my travels has been a treat! . Inspired by this stunning plate of simply prepared wild mushrooms with egg yolk and salt that we had at ganbara_ in San Sebastián, I had to top a bowl of comforting savoury millet porridge with a super jammy boiled egg and lots of sautéed buttery mushrooms for dinner last night. Delicious mini bites 🌱 Tasty sweet treats while on diet or if you are trying to eat less commercial sweets full of sugar and unwanted additives. Those are made with natural ingredients and are nutrient dense so you won’t feel guilty about eating them. What I used to make them.... 3 Tbsp warm water + 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed ( egg substitute) 1 cup oat flour 1/2 cup rice flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon Pinch of salt 3/4 cup organic butter ( still trying to find a better substitute for butter tho) 1 cup sugar free sugar or stevia 1 overripe banana (= 1/2 cup mashed banana) 1/2 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice 1 1/2 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup Chocolate mini chips Start by making the flax egg replacement. In a small bowl, combine 3 Tablespoons warm water with 1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed. Stir together and set aside. It will become thick within a few minutes. In a medium bowl, whisk together rice and oat flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside. Then mix the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the flax egg replacement and beat until mixed in. With mixer on low, slowly mix in mashed banana and fresh lemon juice. Add flour mixture in small quantities at a time just until mixed in. Add oats and mini chips and mix on low just until mixed together. Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop cookies onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake at 180 C for 12-13 minutes or until they're set and just barely start to brown in some spots. Remove from oven and let cool on cooling rack. [Werbung] Last weekend I had the chance cruising through the “Salzkammergut” in Austria.
I found a small farm that sells very fine products, farming in the 3rd generation by Carina and Roland Pühringer putz_wagyu.
Focus since 2008, the breeding of 100% purebred Black Wagyu cattle. Their operating concept is based on the production of the highest quality products, particularly animal welfare, protection of the environment and strengthening local supply in the region.
. I was totally thrilled by the reasons for breeding the wagyu cattle. .
Btw, in addition to the Wagyu cattle breeding, they have been started producing top quality brandies for over 50 years, the fruits come from their own beautiful orchards. From the parental farm their “Mühlbach” fish is coming from, rainbow trout, char and salmon trout swim for 40 years in the pure water of the in-house spring. It´s Carina`s und Roland`s motivation to combine these three products with a maximum of love ❤️ . The special taste of Wagyu Beef is mainly due to the strong marbling, this is dependent on genetic descent, animal husbandry and feeding. The herd consists mostly of Wagyu F1, F2, F3 steers and the offered meat has an ideal marbling score of 7 or 8 . More and more the natural needs of animals are very important. So putz_wagyu farm has large treads in their stables, there are demarcated areas for breeding bulls, calving cows and calves depending on their age. The Owner guarantee that the animals can live out their herd behavior and experience a stress-free everyday life. . Natural slaughtering is as stress-free as possible for their animals, the animals are loaded and transported to the slaughterhouse the day before slaughter. After a recovery period of 24 hours and a final meal, the animals are then slaughtered without time pressure and stress. At the trusted butcher, the ripening takes place, which has a significant effect on the quality of the meat. In their own cold rooms it ripens for up to 4 weeks dry in a row ("dry aging") before it goes on sale. . Vegan double chocolate cookies for the win. These cookies have the perfect ratio of crispy and soft bits. All married together with melty chunks of decadent dark chocolate. The sprinkle of sea salt flakes beautifully balances out the rich and deep flavour of the chocolate. To be honest, I was always weary of trying out vegan recipes because I never believed that they could match up to their non-vegan counterparts. It's so satisfying to be pleasantly surprised by all of my vegan experiments. Watch this space for more of my trysts with vegan baking.
