Separe e deixe as tiras marinar enquanto você cozinha as batatas. . Em uma frigideira grande, em fogo médio-alto, misture 1 colher de sopa de azeite e 1 colher de sopa de manteiga. Quando a manteiga derreter, adicione fatias de batata inglesa. Cozinhe por cerca de 4 minutos, mexa e cozinhe por 4-5 minuto adicionais até que as fatias de batata estejam douradas e macias. I've seen other gardeners post end of the year updates and summaries, but honestly, I'm terrible at record keeping. But... you can ask me what I planted where for the last 3 years, and I can probably tell you. (Can't remember what I had for breakfast though!) In an effort to thank the Lord of the Harvest, stave off Alzheimer's, and encourage others who can't practice traditional gardening , I thought I'd share a list, and some guesstimates of quantities grown. If I'd actually weighed it all, I'd guess that I grow more than 200 pounds of food, in 7+ months, on less than 1/10th of an acre, in the city. (Plus, flowers and herbs ) God. Is. Good. bokchoy cabbage kale onion garlic garlicchives beets carrots (best ever!) lemonbalm radish strawberries sage lavender (2 pints syrup!) luffagourd (16, almost 2 ft long!) blackberries poblano blueberries (about 3 quarts) rhubarb redraspberry jalapenos zucchini bellpepper tomato (more than 12 varieties making 15 quarts pasta sauce, 5 quarts juice, MANY pounds eaten!) oregano rosemary snapbeans (about 6 gallons!) summersquash mint (3 quarts syrup), blue pumpkin, white pumpkin, decorative squash, okra, white and red sweet potatoes, potatoes, yarrow, thyme, basil, holy basil, green tomatoes (about 30 pounds!), asparagus, green onion, purple coneflower, cucumber, leeks, chard, & lettuce. I think that's it. You really CAN eat better, if you want to. I started on an apartment patio. Start small, but start somewhere!

👉 How delicious does this oregano look? This was grown from seed and has not disappointed! A little tip if you are growing your own oregano at home is to pull off a few sprigs as they are growing. Tie some string around the end and hang them upside down in a cool, dry place like a garden shed until dried out. It should take at least a month. Tonight was baked feta cheese with peppers & tomatoes... I had a red onion, as well as yellow & red peppers that needed using up, so decided to keep things super simple. Roasted the chopped veggies first with some smoky chipotle spice mix, garlic, a little olive oil, and dried oregano. I then added a tin of chopped tomatoes and some frozen chopped basil. Once everything had reduced and caramelized nicely, I added the feta cheese, a little extra olive oil, more oregano, black pepper, and some dried chilli flakes.
