It feels incredible to have places that offer delicious, and EASY gluten free choices. Maybe you can relate...maybe you can’t because you have the freedom to eat whatever your heart desires and not get sick. Most times when I eat out, I feel like it’s a gamble with my health. I stoped eating out for a bit. I turned down invitations to join friends for meals, or would eat before and watch them eat. Not super fun right?! There’s a two things that seem to come up over and over when people tell me they can’t stay consistant or even get started in the gym: lack of motivation and lack of knowledge. Everyone has struggles with these factors at some point in their fitness journey. So how can we tackle them? 💪🏼 Have a clear goal. And no, ‘be healthier’ isn’t gonna cut it. WHY do you want to be healthier, WHAT does that look like, HOW is that going to change things for you? Visualize it, vocalize it, makes real. 💪🏼 If your goals are time sensitive, get a coach. Whether it’s an online program and accountability program or a personal trainer, it’s key to have someone push you towards that goal and give you the knowledge you need to keep pushing forward. 💪🏼 Start slow, start easy, start with something you LIKE. Whether that’s yoga, cardio, or simple strength training, the most important thing is to be going to the gym a least 3 times a week! You’ve got to establish that habit because even the best program won’t get you anywhere if you’re only training once a week (or less 😅). ☝🏻obviously there’s more to getting healthy and active than that, but this is your foundation. You can’t build a good routine without a goal, a plan or consistency. So get up, make a plan and get yourself into the gym this week, your body and mind will thank you!

Holy MOLY we just made the most amazing Po Boys using oyster mushrooms!!! hotforfood has a recipe for vegan oyster mushroom Po Boys and after watching the YouTube video where it was made we literally immediately were like "Aight what do we need for this?" Lol. These mushrooms were marinated and fried and put in a sammy with a mayo/relish remoulade with pickles, lettuce and tomato! Swipe to see the mushrooms after they had marinated vs after being fried. They tasted like what I remember calimari or fried clam strips tasted like. Quick, easy and freakin delicious oat cookies by fivesechealth 🍪 👩🏼‍🍳 🌱 Recipe: - 1 cup quick oats (or thin rolled oats) - 1 cup dates (if using medjool, soak for 5 minutes in hot water and then drain) - 3 tbsp peanut butter (unsweetened) - About 30g vegan dark chocolate 1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F 2. Add the dates, oats and peanut butter to a bowl and combine by mashing with your hands (or do this in a food processor until combined) 3. Roll the dough into 4 equal balls, place them on an oven tray lined with parchment paper 4. Use your hands to make the balls flat and form into cookies. Crush the chocolate into smaller pieces and carefully press them into the cookies 5. Now bake the cookies for about 8-10 minutes until lightly browned 6. When the cookies are baked, let them rest and cool down before enjoying them!

Perfect peanut butter ice cream sandwiches 🙌🏻🥜🍦by mybalancedbowls Recipe👇🏻 Cookies: 1 cup oats 2/3 cup desiccated coconut 1-2 scoops peanut butter protein powder 1 tsp vanilla essence 4-5 tbsp peanut butter 1-2 tbsp almond milk 3/4 cup soaked + softened dates 1. Blitz all cookie ingredients together in a food processor until combined. Mixture should be able to hold its shape but if too dry, add more peanut butter or almond milk to stiffen mixture up. 2. Using a tablespoon of mixture, shape cookies into a rough cookie shape. Try to make them evenly sized and an even amount. I made around 8 cookies. 3. Place cookies onto baking paper on a tray or plate and place in freezer for 1-2 hours to set or overnight if you want to make them a day ahead. 4. Once set, sandwich each cookie together with peanut butter/other nut butter and icecream flavour of choice!
