Plant Based Protein Bars - These bars are packed with healthy proteins and are perfect for on the go, after a workout or even as a snack! . . Ingredients 2 cups of chickpeas 1.5 cups of rolled oats 1/2 cup of hemp seeds 6 tablespoons of pea protein powder 2 tablespoons of peanut or almond butter 12 dates 1 tablespoon of almond milk 1 tablespoon of chopped chocolate chips . . Method Add all ingredients apart from choc chips into a food processor and pulse for a couple of minutes. Spoon the mixture out onto a lined baking tray, press and mould to 1/2 inch thick. Press the choc chips into the top. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into bars and enjoy. Life’s been reeeeeal chaotic recently. Everything up in the air, including me. Things are coming together and things are falling to the side. And I’m figuring it out little by little. Two things that have keep me a bit more sane this past week has been yoga + community. I didn’t realize how p o w e r f u l having a community could be until I flew to Hawaii for my YTT. That’s where I first felt THAT kind of connection. A sangha that felt like home. People that helped me grow. I missed that feeling of connection through spiritual practices immensely, but I feel close to that again. Yoga is an incredibly powerful individual practice, but together… it’s something even more magical. I might not be halfway across the globe, but I can still cultivate that feeling everywhere I go. The journey is important, but the people bring it to life. Easy Dahl #vegan 1/2 a cup green lentils 1/2 cup red lentils 1 1/2 cups water 3 garlic clove 1 green onion 1 yellow onion 2 carrots 6 large brown mushrooms 2 medium size tomatoes 2 handfuls fresh spinach 2 medium size potatoes 1 handful size bush fresh parsley 1 handful size bush fresh coriander 1 tsp curry 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp fennel grains 1/4 tsp cumin grains 1 tbs olive oil 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Peel and slice carrots, onions, garlic and potatoes. Wash and dice tomatoes and mushrooms. Finely chop parsley and coriander. In a large pot add in olive oil and all spices including parsley and coriander, but NOT salt and pepper. Add in garlic and both onions. Sauté everything together until onions start to release water. Add in all vegetables and stir a couple times to combine the spices with the veggies. Add in lentils, water and spinach leaves. Stir in salt and pepper. Let simmer in your pot for about 10min on medium to high heat without the lid in order to reduce water a bit. Cover your pot and let simmer until lentils and veggies are well cooked on medium to low heat. This will take about 20-30min usually depending on what lentils you used, some take more time than others to cook... I also like to prepare my Dahl the day before I plan on eating it so that the spices can really seep into the lentils and vegetables! I like to eat my Dahl with naan or tortilla wraps and I like to accompany it with Greek yogurt or plain vegan yogurt 😋 I absolutely love spicy food especially Indian food 🤤 how about you?
