Sriracha cauliflower bites 🌶 Cauliflower florets dipped in batter and baked until crispy and then glazed with sriracha 🤤 I made the batter by adding garlic salt, paprika and seasoning to flour before pouring in oat milk. You want the consistency to be thick enough to coat the cauliflower without it dripping off. Give each floret a little shake to remove excess batter and place on a tray lined with baking parchment (I also spray the sheet with fry-light). Bake for 30 minutes (turning half way) and glaze with a mixture of sriracha, maple syrup and olive oil. I served mine with pizzaexpress vegan light dressing. Muesli casero! Feliz semana!! Dominating as one of the best plant based eateries in Shoreditch, eatgenesis every bit deserves to take the crown 👑 Every item on the menu is 100% plant based and uncompromising on taste or texture 🙌 . . We sampled the Korean BBQ wings to start, which absolutely blew us away. The sticky, spicy Korean sauce in particular is the bomb. If you've been on this journey long enough, it's likely you've experienced plant-based peer pressure (some of you shared examples in our previous post). It can be easy to feel defeated in your dietary choices in these situations, but we know you won't give up! Here are some strategies to ensure you stay strong in your decision to go plant-based. __ Listen: Listening (instead of talking or ‘justifying’) is your best first line of defense. If you really take the time to hear the objections, it opens up communications and reduces the tension. And if someone asks a difficult question, it’s okay if you don’t have an answer. Simply say, “I think you’ve have a good point” and leave it. Later you can try to find the answer so you’re ready for the next time. __ Don’t preach: You might be totally excited about your new commitment to your health and the environment so it’s natural to want to share your enthusiasm with the world. That’s fine, but just be sure it’s done in a way that doesn’t criticize other people’s choices. __ Live the example: Just live your plant-based choice. People will see that you’re committed, that you feel (and look!) better and that you’re not wasting away from lack of protein. If you are quietly confident, don’t be surprised if they casually take you aside and start asking questions about how they can get started on a plant-based diet! __ Need a few more tips? Check out the other seven suggestions here: https://ucdintegrativemedicine.com/2015/07/peer-pressure-what-to-do-when-friends-and-family-dont-agree-with-your-plant-based-diet/

Lush fudgy avocado brownies These are gorgeously fudgy, vegan and a real treat! Far too much sugar to be healthy, but sometimes you just need a brownie. Recipe: 2 cups self-raising flour ( white or whole meal or a mixture) 1 cup sugar (coconut sugar will be less sweet) 1/2 cup cocoa Pinch of salt 1 tsp vanilla paste 1/2 cup water 1/3 cup plant milk 1 mashed avocado 1 cup optional chopped nuts or chocolate chips Mix dry ingredients and then add in the wet ingredients. Pop into a 9”x11” greased pan, your preheated oven at 180’ for about 30 minutes. Be careful not to over cook them or you’ll lose the fudgy-ness. It’s a horrible grey day here, but on the way home from drop off this morning my gorgeous 5 found this daffodil broken on the ground and gave it to me with such a big smile on his face and a big kiss, it’s been cheering up my day ever since. vegan veganrecipes veganrecipeshare vegansofig veganfood veganlife vegans veganshares veganbrownies plantbased plantbasedrecipes plantbaseddiet plantbasedkids veganlondon veganuk

Is a light and fluffy 100% whole grain pizza dough even possible? Yes, it is! Ever wondered how do I find time to make pizza from scratch almost every weekend? The secret is in my little helper and in precisely measured ingredients. I have been making pizza dough for years now, but always winging the ingredients. You know.. adding stuff until it feels right. But as it turns out, you waste an incredible amount of time if you do that every time. Ever since I figured out the exact amounts of ingredients it takes me 5 minutes to make pizza dough. Yes, the food processor does all the work, but I can make it by hand in less than 10 minutes as well. Maybe I will show you what is the simplest way to do that next time if you are interested. ;) When we talk about a light and fluffy pizza dough, the most important thing is the water content and resting time. Especially when it comes to a whole grain pizza dough. I like to do at least 65% water content (measured by the weight of water compared to the weight of flour). That is essential if you don’t want your pizza base to get dry. The other important aspect is resting time. The longer you leave it the lighter it will get, having more air bubbles and becoming easier to digest. The recipe for the best pizza dough I made so far goes like this: Pizza dough for 2 people (2 large pizzas or one full tray) 3 cups of whole-grain spelt flour (350g) 1 cup of lukewarm water (240g) 1 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon dry yeast Detailed instructions in the first comment. Let me know if you need topping ideas as well. ;) Enjoy! Music: Ice Tea Musician: Not The King. 👑

I get that. But you have 5 minutes. You do, seriously. Here’s a super simple grab-and-go breakfast that you can throw together in the morning or make ahead of time;⠀ ▫️⠀ 🥚 Boiled egg (I make 8-12 on Sundays and we eat them throughout the week)⠀ 🥩 2oz lunch meat (look for lower sodium options)⠀ 🌾 2 flatbread crackers⠀ 🍇 A handful of grapes⠀ ▫️⠀ You’ll get all 3 macronutrients, a boatload of vitamins & minerals, and fiber to aid digestion and keep you full. ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ⠀fitnessdietitian nutritionexpert registereddietitian dietitian nutritiontips healthyweightloss weightlosstips healthyeating fitgirls healthyfood girlswholift healthylifestyle runandlift easybreakfastideas quickmealideas mealprep eatbetternotless listentoyourbody womenshealth wellbeing weightlossfoods weightlossprogram wholebodyhealth flexibledietinglifestyle eatingbetter todayfood plantbasedrecipes nutritiongoals

⭐️ Veggie Stew ⭐️ Honestly, veggie stews are the best because they’re tasty, cheap, easy, and healthy! You just need to chop up a bunch of different veggies, add canned tomatoes, sprinkle some spices and let it all simmer for awhile. It’s one of those recipes that don’t require much brain power 😅 for anyone who’s busy with school or work haha. Always topp a lot of veggies with a good protein source and some fat to make it more balanced! Here, I was extra lazy and used a veggie sausage for the protein and baba ganouj for the fat source. So I had nothing to prepare 😂. ~ Veggie Stew recipe: Canned Roasted tomatoes Canned crushed tomatoes Celery Onion Carrots Spices (basil, oregano, salt, lemon juice, pepper) Put all your ingredients into a large pot and let it cook on medium heat until the veggies are cooked, then let it simmer on low heat for a while (to let the spices do their magic) ✨ ~ What’s your fav comforting, but healthy, recipe? Tell me in the comments! Have a good day lovelies 🥰

If I had to choose ONE, it would be tahini, because its creamy delicious nutty flavor can elevate any savory or sweet delish, not to mention its nutrition. Tahini, best known for its use in hummus, is packed with calcium and manganese (for bone health), vitamin B6 (for nervous system and brain health) and a lignan called sesamin that’s been shown to act as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound. When you have the ingredients above you can easily maximize flavor in any grain bowl, stir fry, wrap or roasted veggie dish. ————————————————————- Adapted from Gena Hamshaw’s Power Plates recipe book (fave plantbased recipe book ever🙌🏼), here’s a Spicy Miso + Tahini Garlic Sauce that you can make and store for the week, using on salads, sandwiches, bows and more! 🌟 💫 🌟 Sub ginger for garlic to change it up next week. 😋 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🌱2 tbsp white miso 🌱2 tbsp tahini 🌱4 tbsp water🌱2 tbsp rice vinegar 🌱1 tbsp tamari 🌱1 tbsp maple 🌱1 tbsp chili paste 🌱1 garlic clove, minced. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹! A staple in many homes, partly because of its quick cook time or maybe it's because it is just so delicious and nutritious! Served with a side of turmeric rice, you're guaranteeing your body a great nutrition boost! 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹: - Start with overnight soaked chickpeas, 1 cup for about 5 balls. Do NOT use canned, or they won't ball up. You need to use dry, only.(They're healthier anyways!) - Drain chickpeas (keep 1/2 cup of the starch water on side) and boil in fresh water for about 15 minutes or until they are easily pierced with a knife - Drain the chickpeas again and add them to a food processor - Add 1/4 cup of fresh parsley or, dried is fine - Add 1/4 cup cilantro - Add 1/2 a large onion, minced - Add 2 cloves of garlic, minced (i use like 5 because I am Romanian and want to scare away Vampires) - Add 1/2 tsp of salt - Add 1/2 tsp of black garlic - Add 2 tsp of chilli pepper flakes IF you want them a bit spicy. - PULSE the mixture slowly, checking that the consistency mixes but remains slightly chunky. Don't turn it into a puree! - Add 1/4 cup of that starch water you saved IF the mix looks too dry. It should easily ball up in your hands. - Grab 1/4 cup of the mixture and roll them into a ball shape with your hands. - Once ready, place them in a 1.5" deep oil pan or, BAKE THEM! at 375 degrees until they reach a golden brown to brown outside. Smaller balls for the baking is suggested. It took a few tries to get there perfect, to be honest. You have to train your eye to the consistency.

FOLLOW👉eatingwellndgood 🥑🍏 --- Cauliflower Steak with Chimichurri by everylastbite_ 🔥 Terrific simple vegan recipe. Ingredients: 1 small head cauliflower Chimichurri: 2 cups packed fresh parsley 4 cloves garlic crushed 1 shallot 1 chilli pepper finely diced the juice from 1/2 lemon 1/4 cup red wine vinegar 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/4 tsp salt 2 tbsp fresh oregano Instructions: Turn on the barbecue to medium heat. (or you can cook in the oven at 400F) To cut the cauliflower steaks, remove the leaves from the base of the cauliflower and cut the cauliflower into 4 steaks that are each 1/2 inch thick, being sure to get a portion of the core in each one as this will hold them together. In a food processor combine all of the ingredients for the chimichurri and blitz until smooth. Brush the top side of each cauliflower with a spoonful of the chimichurri sauce and then place the steaks oiled side down on the grill. Close the lid to the barbecue and let the steaks cook for 5 minutes. Brush the top sides of each steak with chimichurri sauce before flipping them over and grilling for another 5 minutes. The steaks should be tender with darkened grill marks on both sides. Serve the cauliflower immediately with the chimichurri evenly spread on top. . .plantbasedrecipes plantbasedmeal plantbasedfood plantbasedfoods healthyrecipes veganfoodshare veganrecipes plantbasedrecipe vegetarian vegetarianrecipes plantbasedmeals veganlunch veganrecipe veganbread whatveganseat vegandinner healthyvegan healthymeal healthyrecipe cauliflower cauliflowersteak chimichurri quickmeals
