Many people will have many opinions for you about bottle feeding - when to do it, if you should, why you need to do it this way or that..in the end you will need to decide what is best for you and your baby. Not every baby is the same and so they will have different preferences and sensitivities! That being said, here are a few things to consider: Feed baby at an angle, not while they are laying down (this helps them swallow and not be overwhelmed by milk flowing directly down their throat). Make sure to break and burp them often (babies swallow more air while bottle feeding than breastfeeding and so will need to burp more, otherwise they may just spit everything back up later!). My Transformational Birth ⁠⠀ ⁠As you can see on the left side is my 2 months postpartum picture, and on the right side is 10 months postpartum. I showed a friend of mine this picture and the first thing that she told me is wow! Osi, it's an amazing transformation, but you're not going to post the picture with your cellulite right?! Of course, I am! ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ When I look at these pictures what I see is the beauty of the pictures, maybe now you’re wondering what am I talking about?! On the left side, you can see the life I created. You can see that my body experienced trauma physically and mentally. You can see my cellulite and my weak belly, my whole body looks weak 🤔 But do you know how many women wish they could get this grateful status of being a MOTHER?! To get this cellulite, and this weak belly just to hear the crying of a newly born baby? This moment is so powerful and unique, to finally see the baby that you've waited for 9 months...⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I knew the change was going to take some time but first I needed to be focusing on my little one Tom, and after 6 weeks I got permission from my doctor to go back to my exercise routine. I’m so thankful and blessed for every single moment being that my pregnancy wasn't simple at all, I was at high risk.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I was thankful, embraced the changes and I decided that I would return to moderate exercise and slowly I followed my own pace while fully listening to my body. I have to say it wasn't simple but it is POSSIBLE. The first thing I did is to start to change my habits to healthy habits and when I change my habit of thinking negatively and start to see the beauty of everything, even if that seems the worst thing ever, when you take your negative thoughts and say to yourself ok, let’s take these thoughts to a better place and give permission for more positive thoughts!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It does help me to get a better solution to my self (:

Just sit and complain, hoping and wishing life would change and it doesn’t? How many of you can honestly sit down and say, “today I worked on myself to become the person I want to be in the future!” How many of you got up from soaking into your own misery or the misery that surrounds you, and did something different? Archer was so excited about his kiddo workout, he talked his little brother into doing it with him! Seriously probably the cutest thing I’ve ever seen😭😂🖤 - It’s really cool to see Archer lead by example in a workout... because HE was the whole reason I started these “stupid home workouts” in the first place... - I’ve said a lot “I wish I would have known about these workouts sooner!!!” But honestly... if I hadn’t been stuck at home with a newborn and desperate for something, I would have quit after the first try. - I DID NOT like home workouts and I absolutely didn’t believe they would work for me. So it’s so amazing to see how things worked out. WHERE IT ALL STARTED 💜 I began this blog all for one reason, I was having a bad night full of self doubt and feeling self conscious about my body (when my beautiful baby girl was 9 weeks ), trying to search for something nice to wear for our first wedding anniversary on Saturday and went to Instagram for a little pick me up.... what a mistake! I’m currently done with day 3, of 21 day fix. It’s not only about exercise! Exercise is important! But movement and posture have a huuuuuge impact on Diastasis Recti! In order to heal properly you need to be mindful of your movements and posture. Diastasis Recti is a sign that your core muscles are not functioning the way they are supposed to. It happens due to excessive intra-abdominal pressure that develops because of a number of reasons such as growing baby during pregnancy, bad posture during workouts, being overweight, etc. Our bodies are designed to deal with optimal amounts of this intra-abdominal pressure but our movement and posture have a huge impact on how this pressure is contained within the muscles. If movement and posture are not optimal they can have a negative impact on the way muscles contain this pressure which can lead to separation of abdominal muscles or Diastasis Recti. This is also crucial during recovery phase as we need to work on the way we walk, sit and move in order to heal Diastasis Recti properly. Exercise is important and very much needed but we also need to be mindful of how we move and stand during the day, as well as how we breathe and move during the exercises. It’s not just about “doing the workouts” and then forgetting about them. Healing Diastasis is a process that takes awareness of our muscles and the super important brain-muscle connection. All of this is covered in my program where I guide and teach you how to develop this connection, not just with exercises but also stretches, daily movements and posture. 1 mês depois. ❤️ Temos vivido numa montanha russa. 🎡 Esperámos na fila o tempo necessário até que chegou o momento de comprar bilhete e sentar na cadeira. Estava no bloco operatório, já com epidural e apenas à espera que o pai chegasse para me sentir mais tranquila e mais confiante... Mais preparada para A conhecer. Começamos, lentamente, a subir a montanha russa. Sabemos que a adrenalina e as borboletas na barriga estão prestes a surgir. Chegamos ao cimo da montanha e lá permanecemos alguns instantes. Instantes esses tão intensos que ficam na nossa memória para sempre. Às 12h31 a Nazaré nasceu e esse momento fica gravado no coração, na alma, no corpo 🙏 Já a temos nos nossos braços! Deixou de ser "um bebé na barriga da mãe" e passou a ser a Nazaré. Começam as subidas e descidas. Avançamos para o doloroso pós cesariana e, em simultâneo, para o usufruto de um amor tão grande que consegue (quase) fazer apagar as dores. Vêm então os luppings. Estamos de regresso a casa. Entramos em novas rotinas, novos papeis, noites mal dormidas e divididas em turnos de 3/4h e desafios superados a 4. A barriga começa a diminuir e consigo finalmente ver os pés. O mano mais velho está radiante e a transbordar de amor. 12 months ago I could bearly lift this weight for 1 rep — fast forward a year and I’m lifting for multiple sets of 10 — my postnatal period has been one of the most educational periods of my fitness life — I’ve learnt more about the capacity of the human body, (specifically that of women/mums), more than I have ever really thought about before — mothers have naturally high levels of endurance, under high stress situations, (more than many athletes I would argue who have every aspect of their days planned + monitored by healthcare pros) — women naturally have more endurance muscle fibers compared with men — this is quite possibly the time when I have become to understand why this primally may be the case — women have to keep on going — they have to keep picking their kids up when their arms are tired, they have to keep responding to their needs over and over — even when they have ‘nothing left in the tank’ .......my own ability to keep weightlifting with a certain level of intensity surprises me pretty regularly, particularity as I operate on (not purposeful) very limited sleep — it’s not ideal I know but it’s how life is right now + this is the activity I choose to help my wellbeing, + help me mentally cope with life demands — this isn’t a look at me, ‘I’m so tired but strong post’- it’s a ‘trust your true capability’ message — when I talk about weights with many women, they start by telling me they ‘can’t’ ..... for whatever reason ... This picture was taken 2 weeks after Aiyana was born. The happiness I felt for having her in my arms and being able to give birth to her naturally and in water as we planned had me on cloud 9. Seeing daddy the.journey.is hold our kids in his arms made me feel like our family is now complete. There is always so many things to be happy and grateful for but I am guilty of taking my blessings for granted. I catch myself (not all the time) judging what isnt going my way. Like the fact that my body didnt snap back how it did with my first born, the amount of hair loss after I stopped breastfeeding, and not feeling as capable as I once was for my workouts. Lately I have been really feeling all these subconscious judgements and doubts.. but then I have a partner like the.journey.is that helps me bring them to the forefront and do something about it. It's okay to not feel your best physically, but mentally it's all up to us. I'm healthy, our children are healthy and happy and I'm raising a family with the love of my life.. but I'm here throwing mental tantrums because it's not exactly how I pictured the rest. It's time to GET REAL JEY and love where you are and be grateful for it instead of searching what to be unhappy about. To all the mamas out there not feeling their best, ITS OKAY! Choose to love yourself because if we deserve anything, it's our own peace of mind.

I REMEMBER THE DAYS...when I was growing a tiny human in this belly of mine.⁣ ⁣ I remember thinking, I’ve done so well staying active. I *should* be able to bounce back quick. I may even be one of those women that is back in pre-pregnancy clothes in a week {TWO Max} 🤣⁣ ⁣ Welp...still wearing mostly maternity clothes or at least the regular clothes that still managed to fit while pregnant (ya girl loves comfort everything). I’m still AT LEAST 20lbs away from my goal weight 😬⁣ ⁣ I’ll be honest, I’ve had meltdowns the last 2 days, mostly related to Barrett being so miserable with gas and colic, and my nipples KILLING me on account of the yeast flare 😥 soooo....in all new mom glory, I took my BEFORE pictures two days late 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣ SWIPE 👉🏻 for more! ⁣ So here we are!
