After the busiest week of the year, it feels so good to be home 🥰 ✨ I never thought that my job would include travel {because in dental, that’s extremely rare and I never experienced it during my career} and as exhausting as this trip can be it’s an amazing experience. ✨ Our company shut down an entire city street so that the 20,000+ of us coaches could work out with the trainers we are used to seeing on our TVs. ✨ We celebrated our team’s incredible accomplishments. ✨ We learned from the best of the best. ✨ We saw @msrachelhollis speak to her largest ever crowd...it was one of the top experiences I’ve ever had. ✨ We spent time face to face with our team we are so used to working with online daily. ✨ We laughed. We shared. We had the best time. ✨ Now that I’m home, I am soaking in the experience and ready to love on my people. ✨ Now, it’s back to the regular routine that I am so thankful is my regular routine. #livingthelifeofmydreams #homesweethome #nothingbetterthanthis

DAY 7! A week of keto and I’m feeling great! (Ignoring the bout of mastitis I’m currently battling 🥴) I am headed in to week two feeling more confident and excited about being back to my old routine. . . . Going through the pictures: taco bowl with micro greens • coconut curried chicken thighs (I have a how to vid for these!) • Guac and low carb tortilla chips (cut up and toasted @missionfoodsus) • low carb quesadilla • kale salad with pine nuts and Parmesan • breakfast burrito • egg and sausage scramble • coffee, @questnutrition cookie, fenugreek and water (my morning breastfeeding routine), deviled eggs and a cauliflower salad. . . . . #keto #ketosis #ketotransformation #ketonealplan #whatieat #ketoweightloss #postpartumbody #postpartum #postpartumweightloss #bodyafterbaby #ketomama #ketomom #pcos #pcosdiet #postpartumfitness

#homeworkout There is no doubt that for most of us a group exercise scenario is the best and most enjoyable type of fitness. Your out of the house (away from the kids ☺️😂), your at the gym, your commited! Theres socialising, team work, camaraderie and without a doubt you work harder and longer. But there are days when getting to the gym is not an option. So heres a snapshot of a very simple bodyweight workout that you can easily do from home when time and equipment are limited. I done this workout for just 8 minutes when my littliest was napping.......and the heart rate was definitely raised ❤ 😂👌 ÀMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) 🏋️‍♀️ 10 mountain climbers 🤸‍♀️ 10 sprawls 🚶‍♀️ 10 knees to elbow 🏃‍♀️ 10 broad jump to high knees 💪 10 push ups Just 8 minutes away from a good mood 😘 #mentalhealthawareness #perinatalmentalhealth #maternalmentalhealth #postpartumbody #metime #putyourselffirst #inspirationalwomen #fitness #homeworkouts #workout #mybody #fitnesslife #fitmum #motherhood #womenempoweringwomen #countyarmagh #northernireland #lauralovesfit

Sometimes all you need is your makeup done and a good outfit to pull you out of a funk. — I woke up in a mood. Feeling down on myself. Questioning who the hell I think I am going after such a big goal. Playing myself small. — Did some self development. Spent some quality time with baby girl. 3 steps done (finally 🙌) and got myself together. — Feeling so much better. Even in moments of doubt, the light always shines through. Don’t ever forget who you are and why you started on your journey. You’re here for a reason and the moments of weakness happen for a reason, they only make you stronger. — Happy Monday, babes! . . . . . . #outfitgoals #momlife #momstyle #postpartumbody #momsofinstagram #ootd #makeuplover #businessowner #mindsetmatters #positivevibes #positivity #onlymakesmestronger #believeinyourself #girlmom #outfitinspo #styleonabudget #luckybrandjeans #maxxinista #targetfinds

Post-partum back pain is common and this is one of my favorite exercises to address it. This is also great for PREVENTING back pain from creeping up. Feel free to do with or without a babe! I’m always encouraging mamas to exercise with your babe/toddler. No real need for a gym since you are already carrying ☝️ • Note how Lindsay is getting her booty back as she leans to one sided. This good ✅ You should feel stretch in your inner thigh and low back 🤗

Throughout my pregnancy I was not conscious of my weight because I knew it was temporary. I just wanted my baby to be healthy. My girlfriends all told me that losing the weight can be hard and especially if you’re breast-feeding you can tend to put on alot more in the initial stages when you can’t work out. 💙 With the pain of my stitches and postpartum depression I had a loss of appetite. I didn’t feel like eating one but- in fact when I was given food by my moms I would either flush it away in the toilet or pour the liquids down the sink ( no wonder I wasn’t healing I was not allowing any nutrients in my body lol). I ended up losing so much weight that I was able to fit back into my pre-wedding clothes and my face lost the glow it once had. 💙 I’ll never forget the day my sister came to see me and how shocked she was! She asked me where my double chin went ( as skinny as I was I always had a double chin argh). Within 10 days not only did I lose my baby weight but then some! Why? Because my physical, emotional and mental health was miserable 💙 This was the worst mistake I ever made by not eating. This is KEY to healing and especially of you want to breast feed. Eat anything that makes you happy!! Eat little by little but don’t force yourself. If you don’t eat your body is starving inside while your brain is suffering -you will endure a lot of mental trauma. #postpartumdepression #postpartumbody #postpartumweightloss #postpartumfitness #mentalhealthawareness #happymoms #postpartumawareness #postpartumjourney #postpartumsupport #postpartumbodytransformation #pregnancy #recovering #naturalchildbirth #postpartum #postpartumdoula #supportivespouse #postpartumprogress #mentalillnessawareness #talkinghelps #childbirth #csectionscar #childbirth #contractions #epidural

They say that in order to be a good mom, you must take care of yourself first and be happy. Some may not agree with that, but for me, it’s true. The first month after having Cooper, I felt like I was not the mom that my son needed me to be. Those 6 weeks of not being able to move on top of recovering from surgery along with sleep deprivation and postpartum blues was basically torture for me. . . Working out has always been my therapy and when I could start moving again, I also felt like myself again. My happiness started coming back and I finally felt like I could be the mom that I had always dreamt of being for my little man. Now, ten weeks later, here we are working out together. He is my cheerleader and he is my motivation, and most importantly, he is my WHY. He gets to see his momma be happy and healthy and that’s pretty awesome! . . I cannot wait for him to watch me take my next journey which is a 100 workout commitment! I cannot wait to show him strength, commitment, and perseverance. What are you showing up for in your life?? Need a buddy to help you through it?? Starting TOMORROW, I am getting all my ladies set up to make the 100 workout commitment with me. Will you be joining us??? Healthy and Alive feels damn good. 🙌🏼 Guys. We all wake up everyday wanting to feel and look our best. We all want to feel more alert, less depressed, have less anxiety, be less bloated, get over that weight plateau, and function optimally. I can help you with that. I coach a 30 days to healthy living program that will change you. Completely transform you. I’ve done it. I no longer need naps to take care of my children. My PMS is non existent. I don’t feel exhausted by 12pm. I’m not saying you are unhealthy. However just like we service our cars and change it’s oil, we can all use a reset. Something to have accountability with to return our bodies back to it’s alkaline state, where it’s functioning optimally. Have you been eating like crap? Are you hooked on coffee or sugar? Do you need a reset? Stop being afraid of changing your life. Stop thinking you can’t. I’m no different than you. Stop with the inside voice telling you ‘you’re not good enough’. YOU CAN. Come with me. Let me show you how. So what’s your excuse?! Comment below if you want more info! ~DIVINE ANATOMY~ Decalcification of bones and sublaxation of joints is a part of pregnancy due to softening of ligaments caused by relaxin hormones. It effects the sacroiliac joint and symphysis pubis (in a good way) which allows stretching when it's time to birth your baby! Relaxins in conjunction with progesterone increases the water holding capacity of the ligaments surrounding these joints which in turn means increased joint mobility. Movement can become irritating and produce back pain and inflammation which is also very common during pregnancy. This is why I binded my belly throughout my third trimester for back relief, postural support, to lesson the pressure from rapid growth and weight of my growing baby thus helping with stretching/stretch marks and much more. DM me for your Bengkung belly wrap! Other changes in our bones can be linked to Vitamin and mineral deficiencies. This is why Sea Moss is HIGHLY recommended as a natural form of prenatal vitamins as opposed to synthetic over the counter prenatal multivitamins...as it contains 92 of the 102 minerals that we need to maintain a healthy body before conception, during pregnancy and after. It also contains Vitamins A, B, C, D (black wombmen suffer from severe Vitamin D deficiency), E and K. It is especially rich in calcium and iodine, as well as potassium iodide, potassium bromide, selenium, zinc and natural silica. You can find the link to my Amazon store in my bio to purchase your Sea Moss. Ps. Wombmen are so Magical... What I was going for in this picture was cute over the shoulder pose. What I got was a realistic photo of what I look like from behind 😂🤣 I did not want to post this because I don’t like how I look. However, I started this Instagram to hold myself accountable and to put a show a realistic portrait of struggles we all go through as women. I love my body for giving me my daughter. I love how it can change when I need it to. I will not be ashamed of how I look because it has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get here. It’s going to take those same things to get my body to its next stage. But the important thing is that it CAN change, and the speed at which it does so is not a reflection of who I am! #girlmom #girlpower #postpartumbody #fourthtrimesterbodies #fitnessandflowers #bodypositive #lovethyself #postpartumfitness #postpartumbooty 🙃

Funny story 🤔 After my workout, I looked at our pull-up bar and thought ... “I really want to start working on those again...” - I was working on it before I got pregnant with Tucker and then stopped🤰🏻 - So the thought quickly left my mind😂😬 - When I came upstairs I saw a video that my friend posted in my accountability group. She talked about how she started a new program today because it intimidated her. I totally connected with it because she said that she stays away from things that intimidate her... I am the exact same way. - So seeing her push herself made me say... that’s it... I’m working on pull-ups again!💪🏼 So here we go... gonna work on it everyday. I’m even putting a reminder on my phone because my mind will block this out otherwise 🤣 - Surround yourself with people who push you!🔥🔥🔥 Thank you @glassware !!

Does this sound familiar ? Don't jump, squat heavy, plank or run during pregnancy or postpartum because you will get abdominal seperation plus pee yourself and maybe your insides will fall out. . Im not saying you can do these things and be immune to some kind of pelvic floor dysfunction BUT no woman or woman's body is the same so a blanket restriction and flat out NO you cant do these things or by doing them you will get diastasis recti or pelvic organ prolapse doesn't make sense! This attitude is why many Women end up BLAMING THEMSELVES for their condition or symptoms. . Do front loaded exercises cause diastasis recti? we don't actually KNOW what causes diastasis and are just guessing the risk factors. 🤯 . Some women can actually plank in pregnancy without creating too much intra- abdominal pressure so why tell the woman who can to stop? If she wants to plank Why not assess her or teach her what to look for when she is performing a plank. Is she is in control of her intra-abdominal pressure , breathing, pelvic floor or what sensations she is feeling? If she isn't in control of those things then sure modify or stop that specific exercise. . . Can women with pelvic organ prolapse jump or do high impact exercises? Yes, Some women can do these tasks! Instead of flat out saying no you can't do those exercises teach her strategies, modications or find tools (like pessaries) to help to manage her symptoms. if you have exhausted all options perhaps then omit that particular exercise. . The above are examples of why working with a womens health physiotherapist or pre and postnatal coach can benefit you during pregnancy or postpartum. We can help improve pelvic floor function and take time to build the foundations to get you to the certain task. If all options have been exhausted to help you complete a task and you are still experiencing symptoms then perhaps then that task is a no go.......... for now. . . . .

Dear postpartum mama⠀ ⠀ If you’re still bleeding and in pain from birth,⠀ If you’re lonely despite being with another human 24/7,⠀ If you’re feeling depleted and defeated,⠀ If you’re feeling like you don’t know what you’re doing,⠀ If you can’t ask for help, ⠀ If you just want some SLEEP,⠀ If you’re feeling like a failure,⠀ ⠀ I SEE YOU. ⠀ I still remember how difficult and long the postpartum days were. Between painful feedings and sleepless nights and a body that didn’t feel like my own, there were so many times that I felt like I was in a dark fog. It is such a hard place to be.⠀ ⠀ But I look back, years later and boy, it is so much better. As time went on, there were more days when the clouds lifted, when I felt a little more like myself, when I could actually enjoy part of my days, when I felt calm more than worried or stressed. As the days blend into weeks and months, you will look back and hopefully see how much your baby has grown and see how far you have come. Your body may not feel the same and you may still be exhausted, but it will get easier. Until then, remember that you are NOT alone. Remember that it’s okay to not feel okay and that it’s okay to ask for help so you can take care of yourself. ⠀ ⠀ Who can relate? Know a postpartum mama who could use some encouragement? Tag a friend and let them know they are not alone❤️⠀ ⠀ Beautiful photo by @mommylittlesparkles⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ,⠀ ,⠀ #mothernutrient #postpartum #postnatal #postnatalcare #motherhood #ig_motherhood #postpartumhealth #postpartumbody #newmom #newbaby #maternalhealth #birthrecovery #selfcare #holisticnutrition #holisticnutritionist #postpartumjourney #momlife #pregnancy #momssupportingmoms #postnatalrecovery #holistichealing #momtobe #realmotherhood #honestmomconfessions #csection #thisispostpartum

Did you know that laying on your back is actually one of the hardest positions to give birth in, yet it is the most common and encouraged position in the United States? It puts pressure on your tailbone and keeps your pelvis from being able to open fully. This can lead to more intervention, more severe tears and longer labors. There are so many other positions that can be beneficial for mamas to labor and birth in. At the very least, being more upright puts gravity on your side and can help move baby deeper into your pelvis! ⠀ ⠀ Often times your body and baby will guide you into the position that is right for your labor and birth. All you have to do is listen and be open to what feels best to you in the moment. If it doesn't feel good, try something different! I ended up giving birth in the tub on my hands and knees. This was not something I planned before hand, it was just where my body and baby led me and with the support of my doula and birth team, ended up being the best position to bring my little man into the world. ⠀ ⠀ This is YOUR birth and feeling empowered and knowledgeable in your experience is so important! You can use this beautiful graphic as inspiration on what positions you might want to try! Talk with your healthcare provider or doula (I highly recommend a doula!!) about your options! You have a lot more power and say in your experience than you may think! ⠀ ⠀ Did you use an "alternative" position to labor or birth in? Would you consider one? Comment below with what worked for you!!

Finally feeling like me again ✨ Its easy to compare yourself to other people on social media. But most people don’t talk about their struggles- only their success. After having babies, especially so close together, I did not just “bounce right back”. I felt like shit for months. Although I will admit it was easier the second time around, it was still a struggle. My body felt different (still does), I had crazy mood swings, I felt lonely and sad. It takes months, sometimes longer, to feel like yourself again. I get several messages asking how my body bounced back, how I didn’t go through depression or baby blues, etc. and just because I don’t post about it on social media doesn’t mean I didn’t go through it! I guess I’m just posting this to reassure some people that what your going through is NORMAL and every momma goes through that stage! It gets better, so hang in there! 🌟

I used to hate myself. When I was in high school, I hated how fat I was. I thought it was who I was. Once I got to college, I discovered true athletic spirit and drive and started to hone in my fitness. Over the years I lost over 60 lbs and was in the best shape of my life. Then I had my first son and gained a ton of weight. I hated what I looked like, who I had become and lost who I was. Postpartum depression set in and I went back to hating myself. No more will I let those thoughts flood and poison my mind. No I am not where I want to be, but I am on a journey to be a healthy happy me. Today I took another step toward being the best version of myself. Do I still have my bad days? Yes. does depression and anxiety get ahold of me at times? Yes. But I choose to keep going and fight for a better me. I am getting stronger every day. What is one thing you can do to love yourself today?

{ first trimester ish }⠀ ⠀ Oh momma, that first trimester can be real tough. Generally my clients come to me just after their first trimester is over and they are feeling a bit more energized and less nauseous. ⠀ ⠀ However some women still want to stay active in this fist trimester. So how do you navigate fitness when you're nauseous and exhausted?⠀ ⠀ Well, it's honestly a day to day and minute to minute endeavor. If your body is telling you to prioritize rest then you'd best prioritize rest. There is A LOT going on in the first trimester- ton's of growth, development of the placenta, huge hormonal shifts just to name a few. Allow yourself some grace and if a workout means a stroll around the block, some gentle stretching, or yoga then that is a-okay. ⠀ ⠀ I like to program body weight exercises with low reps in the first trimester just to get the body moving a bit. By all means, if you’re feeling great then let’s increase the load a bit. Sometimes, a little movement can help with the exhaustion piece, but we don't want to over do it and leave you feeling depleted; we want to ride that line and lean toward restorative movement practices.
