NEW RECIPE: Pulses Shakshuka with mozzarella and fresh herbs As you know, I like to supercharge my meals and aadd extra nutrition wherever possible. This is a simple, every day recipe anyone can do. Can be made dairy-free or using a cheese alternative. Here we go, this recipe makes 4 portions: 1 onion 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp brown sugar 1 can of butter beans 1 can chopped tomatoes 1 bag @merchantgourmet black lentils 4 eggs 1 small ball of mozzarella Fresh basil Olive oil Salt and pepper METHOD 1. Chop the onions and garlic and cook in a little olive oil until soft 2. Add 1 tsp of brown sugar (brings the onion and tomato flavour out) 3. Add the butter beans and season with salt and pepper 4. After a few minutes, add the chopped tomatoes and mix well 5. Season with salt and pepper, fresh herbs and other fav flavours 6. Add the lentils and incorporate 7. Make 4 wells into the mixture and break an egg in each one 8. Cover with a lid and simmer at medium heat until the eggs are cooked 9. Remove from heat, break down mozzarella chunks on top and sprinkle fresh basil. Serve with fresh sourdough bread. Monkfish kebabs with plenty of plants 🍢 continuing with the seafood vibe — Monkfish is one of my favourite fish being taste and texture preference. I literally assembled them with the most contrasting vegetables with diff colours being: • red onion • yellow pepper • courgette • tomatoes. Alternatively use what you have but the more variety of plants delivers more nutrients being micro or phyto possible. — 484 Cals Protein 35 Carbs 23 Fat 28 Remember these recipes not set in stone so tweak what you want more or less — Ingredients • 200 grams monkfish tail or use other firm fish • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil • 1/2 yellow pepper • handful of cherry tomatoes • 1/2 courgette / zucchini • 1/2 red onion • 1/2 avocado • handful of green beans — Recipe: 1. Preheat to medium flat wide saucepan or use a grill or bbq 2. Cut the kebab ingredients in to a uniform 1 inch thick size 3. Use a skewer of choice, I used stainless steel 4. thread the ingredients on alternating + making it look pretty 5. Add to the grill or pan etc 6. Cook for 2 minutes per side totally 8 mins 7. Whilst cooking, steak or sauté the green beans in 1/2 olive oil 8. Slice the avocado 9. Plate everything up then drizzle remaining olive oil on top. 🍽 Recipe of the Day: Barley Primavera 🍚 Drains Dampness • Barley is a great grain to get to know. Super easy to prepare, like rice, and has the ability to drain dampness. Dampness, in Chinese medicine, occurs when our digestive fire is weak and our body accumulates extra weigh through fat and fluids. Dampness can occur in our head and cause foggy thinking, in our digestion and cause difficulty losing weight and irregular stools, and in our urinary track causing UTIs. Diet, herbs, moxibustion and acupuncture are great tools to take back your digestive fire and drain the damp and barley is a perfect grain to add into your daily diet. Try this recipe to encourage clear thinking and weight management. • Ingredients: 3 scallions, sliced thinly and diagonally 6 c. water ¼ c. canola oil 1 ¼ c. pearl barley 4 cloves garlic ¼ c. minced parsley ½ c. shiitake mushrooms 1 small zucchini, chopped 1 small yellow squash, chopped 1 medium carrot 1 large red pepper, seeded and chopped 1 small yellow and green peppers, seeded and chopped ¼ c. raspberry vinegar 1 tsp. sea salt ½ tsp. freshly ground pepper • Instructions: Place the barley and water into a saucepan. Bring the water to a boil, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer the barley for 20 minutes, until tender. When the barley is cooked, drain it well and chill completely. Heat the canola oil and garlic in a small saute pan over low heat. Slowly cook the garlic for 2 minutes, until golden brown, and transfer to a large mixing bowl. In the same bowl, combine the peppers, parsley, zucchini, yellow squash, carrot, scallions and mushrooms with the cooked barley. This is my jam 👏🏻 Like how delicious does this look 😍 I’ve been on a serious rice cake kick since re adjusting my low carb life style. For any of you new peeps out there, long story short, I ate a keto diet for majority of my weight loss. I really focused on staying under 20 net carbs a day. After loosing the weight and reaching my goals I realized that I did not want to stop there. I wanted to continue to get stronger and build muscle and with that means needing to eat more. It’s been a learning curve but a super rewarding one. I’ve learned so much with food and making sure I am fueling myself with the right foods that the transition has been going so well. I do my best to stick with complex carbs and not go back to my old eating habits, constantly consuming those evil carbs that controlled my life for so long. If you’re in a similar situation just know that it’s alright to switch your routine up. Change is always a good thing and it’s inevitable it’s going to happen 💪🏻👏🏻💛

Feriado pede churrasco! Que tal fazer um franguinho diferenciado no seu churras? Para 1kg de tulipas, utilizei na marinada: 120g de mostarda (meio pote +-) Sal a gosto Pimenta do reino moida na hora a gosto Suco de meio limão 1 colher de sopa de açucar mascavo (opcional, uso para ajudar na formação da crosta no frango) 1 ramo de alecrim Alho e cebola em pó a gosto (pode-se usar alho e cebolas frescos. Rale bem.) Deixei o marinado em um zip lock por aproximadamente 2 horas. Coloquei as tulipas em fogo indireto utilizando grelha de peixe (grelha dupla) por 20 minutos. Quando o frango atingiu cozimento (a cor ficara mais escura por causa dos temperos), desci a grelha para fogo direto pra dar aquela tostada final.. Hoy nos hemos traído el arroz con verduras que os enseñe el otro día de @mercadona que se hace en menos de 5minutos en una sartén y con 1cucharadita de aceite. Con mi pechuguita estrella desmigada. . Pechuga a la Barbacoa 2Pechugas bien hermosas (700-750gr) 1CD Especias Barbacoa por pechuga 100gr Salsa Barbacoa cero de @salsaa prima 50ml Caldo verduras (o agua) Sal rosa y Pimienta Negra Paso a Paso: 1. Disponemos sobre la olla las pechugas salpimentadas y con las especias bien distribuidas. Añadimos 60gr de la salsa barbacoa por encima, añadiremos el caldo o el agua y cerramos con tapa 2. Ponemos a fuego muy bajo, durante unos 40-50minutos (En #ollagm menú guiso, 80° 25 minutos, válvula cerrada) 3. Pasado ese tiempo con cuidado y ayuda de dos tenedores desmigamos cada pechuga en un plato y devolvemos a la olla donde habrá quedado líquido de la propia pechuga, la salsa y el caldo y ya se trata de dejar evaporar un poco. * A mí como me gusta jugosa, apenas la evaporó. 4. Cuando está fría es cuando añado los otros 40gr de Salsa Barbacoa y remuevo y así ya tengo mi pechuga llena de sabor para usar en mil platos. . Te gusta la pechuga barbacoa. ¿Te animas a hacerla? Looking for a guilt free gut friendly recipe 🍛 ...look no further: - Makes 2 servings – add or substitute any vegetables that you prefer or have available (eg. butternut squash, cauliflower, peppers, leeks, peas) 1 tbsp coconut oil� 1 garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed 1 inch piece ginger, finely chopped or crushed 1 onion, finely chopped ¼ cup bone broth (chicken or beef) or vegetable broth substitute 2 medium courgettes, chopped� 2 small sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed 400ml tin coconut milk� 2 tbsp garam masala� 1 pinch sea salt� 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper� 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley� ¾ cup cooked quinoa - Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan over a medium heat and add garlic, ginger and onion. Cook for about 5 minutes until onion is soft. Add bone broth, courgette and sweet potato to the saucepan with the onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 25 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, warm coconut milk and garam masala, salt, and pepper in a separate small saucepan over low heat. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the spiced coconut milk to the saucepan with the vegetables. Add parsley and stir to combine. Turn the heat to low, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, place quinoa on a plate and top with the curry. I usually do not eat butter and am used to eating sandwiches and other foods without it. Nevertheless, the family loves butter, and it is a common product found in most households. . Ingredients . A) 10 tablespoons Bonsoy milk (plant-based milk) 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar 8 tablespoons almond flour 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional for colour) . B) 4 tablespoons olive oil 1 cup coconut oil, melted . Method . Blend A) until smooth. Add B) and blend until mixed together well. Place in a recycled glass jar and refrigerate until set. . Say “no” to any kind of plastic packaging. If you don’t buy it, they won’t sell it.
