Life doesn't come with a manual. It comes with a mother. Teach them well.
Friends are forever. Or so they say. Should it actually always be like that?
I think friendships are extremely important and valuable, they are one of the very essentials to personal happiness. But that doesn't mean we have to hold on to all of them. Some friendships end naturally, they developed at a certain stage of your life, and when both people progressed, the connection just faded out. And that's normal - we all have had that happen.
But sometimes it might actually be healthy for you to purposely let go of friends. And this is not about how frequently you are in touch or see each other, but who will still be there when times are tough. You deserve to have friends who value your worth, support you, and make an effort within the relationship. Unfortunately, it often takes a loss, illness, tragedy or heartbreak to show who you can rely on. Focus on these friends, nurture and protect the precious relationships you have. If a friendship falls apart once you stop nurturing it, let it.
And don't feel guilty over letting other friendships go - it doesn't mean you or they are terrible, just that that friend simply isn't for you. Trust me, it will do you good - once you cut out those who will only be your friend when circumstances are pleasant or profitable, you make more room for wonderful people, healthy friendships and a trustworthy support system. 🌷 (📍 From: ( @janaillustration )
