Honey I’m home! A couple of weeks away from Slimming World has been great but also really hard trying to not feel guilty after eating anything off plan. ⁣ ⁣ I disagree with the notion of ‘it’s so hard to be on plan while away from home’ because at the end of the day it’s a choice. If you want to stay on plan you have to accept a few boring meals as you don’t have the luxury of your kitchen cupboard. While I was in the US I honestly thought fuck it this time! I’m going to eat what I fancy and well I did. But I also made the choice to workout as much as I can including twice a day on most days, which took the edge off the guilt. ⁣ ⁣ Tuesday will be mixed emotions because there will be a gain, currently the scales are saying +8lb at home, so guilt and disappointment will kick in. BUT I need to remember how far I’ve come and remind myself that although I’ll gain it’ll come off again in no time!!!⁣ ⁣ These two pictures are me last week in Utah vs me in Las Vegas in March. Curry Night 🔥 My first time making this recipe, my son chose tonight’s dinner and this is what he picked and you can easily food optimise with meals the whilefamily can enjoy. It was really simple to make using a recipe from the slimmingworld Curry book. I’d not had many syns today so used 6 on the Naan and Poppadom. Once soft most of the stock drained - save a few tbsp worth. Blend it up - you can use a hand blender, I use my magimixuk then season to taste! Just don’t overblend! 💙 Roasted sweet potatoes - seasoned with white and black pepper, salt and frylight and roasted for 40 minutes, turning halfway through 💜 Cauliflower cheese - sauce made by heating 140ml skimmed milk slowly and adding salt, white pepper and nutmeg and melting 2 extra light dairylea triangles. Slept late so we had a kind of ‘brunch’. I had 2 slices of warburtonsgf brown seeded gluten-free bread (HexB), toasted and spread with 1 Seriously Spreadable Lighter Cheese Square (part HexA). I’ve really been struggling to get back into my ‘groove’ since my hospital stay. Although I’ve planned my evening meals I’ve slept slot so meal times have been al over the place and most days I’ve only eaten twice. I think that was what was reflected in my loss these last 2 weeks in that I know my body goes into ‘survival mode’ when I don’t eat and holds onto everything, I’m not one of those people whose weight drops off them when they don’t eat ☹️ I pledge to do my best to try harder next week to get back into a flow! Thursday was chicken and broccoli risotto which if I use 1 HexA for the grana padana cheese then it’s syn free. Friday I was at a uni visit with my daughter so we went to nandosuk because although I knew I would be over my syns I could count them and maintain some control! I had Butterfly Chicken with the skin (3.5), creamy mash (6) and corn on the cob (F) and I also had grilled halloumi (9). 🍃🍂 Cosy Sundays ... crisp sunny start today followed by a day of baking, pumpkin carving and chilling ... and washing and iorning and sorting but that wasn’t the least bit fun 🙈 aside from that ... a lovely way to spend the last day of annual leave before heading back to Christmas madness 🙈🍃🍂 . . 🍃🍂Spiced pumpkin, carrot and sweet potato Soup ... one of the nicest soups if I do say so myself 🙌🏼 🍂🍃 . . 🍃🍂 To make ... chop 400g of pumpkin, 1 large chopped sweet potato, 2 chopped carrots, 1 large peeled apple and 1 chopped onion.... first fry onion in frylight and some garlic then add 1tsp cinnamon, 1tsp all spice and fry until fragrant then add 1 litre veg stock and a tsp of vanilla essence and all the veg ... put a lid on a pan and cook for 20 mins then when cool blend in a food processor ... I topped it with croutons made by using scharglutenfreeuk ciabatta which is a healthy extra and spritzed with frylight and cooked in the air fryer for 5 mins until golden then swirled with a tsp of single cream 🍂🍃 . . 🍃🍂 Makes all the pumpkin carving worthwhile 🍂🍃 . . slimmingworld slimmingworlduk slimmingworldblogger swblog weightloss slimmingworldinspiration slimmingworldideas weightlossblogger

I saw this on Facebook and had to steal, it's that time of the week where our guilt pays us a visit. Sometimes we all need a reminder of why we wanted to lose weight. I can only speak for myself but it sure as shit wasn't to stick to my old habits. Those habits were, because I felt fat, and not confident I stayed in as often as I could. I didn't buy new clothes, I didn't eat out or if I did I would order something 'healthy' because I didnt want people to think I was fat or greedy. I would never dance in our local pub for fear of what those watching would think. We want to lose weight for a variety of reasons but they all focus on us going back to being who we once were or who we know we can become. To do the things we used to do or those things we've always wanted to do. So Sunday guilt be gone! Tomorrow is a brand new day and the start of a new week. Take a moment to think about your weekend and instead of focusing on how badly you may have done, how many syns you might of inhaled (or drank!) instead ask yourself, "did I enjoy it?". Hopefully the answer is YES!!! ❤️🧡💛PUMPKIN PICKING💚💙💜 Well I was like an excited child today ready to go pumpkin picking 🙊😂 a little NSV for me today - my first ever pair of knee high boots!! I could never get them over my legs before 😫 and this year I’ve finally treated myself to a pair!! So I had to wear them today, even if they do need a very good clean now 🙊😂 . Feeling very festive and autumnal!! 🎃🍂 We picked out 2 perfect pumpkins - now I just need to work out how to carve them neatly without chopping my fingers off 🙊 (I’m very clumsy 🙄😂) . I’m also obviously excited to cook with all this pumpkin!! A million and one pumpkin recipes coming your way guys 🙌🏼😂 . We stopped off in a little cafe and shared a toastie and a scone, and I had a skinny latte ☕️... definitely over syns but equally didn’t go crazy and it was 100% worth it! . SYN FREE BAKED OATS This afternoon I'm home alone (no Sunday dinner til much later!) and have already scoffed chocolate and a bag of Ringos 🤦‍♀️then realised I've not had my HEB so thought I'd make some baked oats. The basic recipe is 40g oats, 170g fat free yoghurt (I only had Greek in so threw that in) 1 tbsp sweetner and 1 egg. The back dish has lemon juice, zest, vanilla extract and blueberries The front dish has frozen raspberries and almond essence I'm going to half half a dish now, then perhaps the other half later if I'm hungry.
