See really this should be a facetofacefriday but I’m rolling with a throwbackthursday as I’ve just realised that today marks exactly three months since I started my c25k adventures! There’s no huge difference in how I look but there’s a massssssive difference in another way. That pic on the left was after doing intervals of running for a minute and walking for a minute and a half for twenty minutes and I struggled like you wouldn’t believe. Literally couldn’t even do a minute non-stop running. Jump forward three months and the pic on the right was last Friday just before I did a 7.7 mile/12.5km non-stop, no walking at all run. I kid you not. Three months from struggling to run a minute to being able to run for 78 minutes - just imagine what else could change in three months if you really want it and keep the faith? Im not going to sugar coat it, every run was a bloody nightmare and it wasn’t easy AT ALL but then one day it just clicked. I put it down as it being because I ate white chocolate cookies the night before, but then the next run went the same. Then the next...and I haven’t really looked back since. Don’t ever give up on the thing you really want, because one day you might just find you’ve made it - and the harder it was to achieve, the more you’ll value and appreciate it. Don’t ever lose sight of something your heart is set on - it might seem sometimes like its impossible or you’ve lost it - trust me I know how many times I felt like throwing in the towel - but it’s not the end of the world, it’s always just another little bump in the road. After 2 months away, I bit the bullet and re-joined Slimming World. I know it's not for everyone but I like when I feel at least a little bit in control of my weight, and gaining weight has a really, really bad effect on my mental health.
