Grilled Peach Parfait ••• Okay, so I actually got the idea for grilled peaches from the website of the dietetic practice that I intern for @rebel_dietitians! ••• Being in school to become an RD has made me so hyper-aware of bad nutrition advice online from “nutritionists” who have no education and no science to back up their claims! ••• If you’re having medical issues or need nutrition advice, you should go see a RD instead of trying the keto (or any) diet by yourself!! ••• Here’s why: 1) Dietitians are educated about the science of nutrition and your body and have spent years in school learning to give you the best nutrition advice! 2) Advice from an RD is almost always more practical. Most RDs will NEVER tell you to cut your favorite food out of your diet — they’ll just teach you to balance your diet. You've probably heard it a million times but it is important for any plantbased eater to take it and is the one vitamin that you can't get from vegetables alone. Vitamin B12 is improtant for healthy nerve and blood cells and when levels are low can cause weakness and tiredness. Go to the doctors to get you levels checked and pick up a pack of supplements, if you haven't already. @hollandandbarrett provides a good selection. Ensure you are taking the correct dosage as excessive intake of B12 can be toxic. So I went vegan in March 2018! I haven’t been able to wear my engagement and wedding rings for 4 years due to the fact I had put on 5 stone throughout both pregnancies and of course eating the wrong food! É apegado a leite? Olha que belezinha essas 3 opções que fiz com leite vegetal. Esse da foto é leite de castanha de caju. Só colocar 80 gramas de molho por 20 minutos e depois escorrer essa água e bater por 3 minutos no liquidificador. Eu nem costumo coar. Da pra fazer leite de castanha de para, amendoas, arroz, aveia, enfim, uma infinidade de opções. O legal do leite vegetal, principalmente o feito em casa, é que não tem conservantes, não tem antibióticos como o de vaca, não tem chance de vc ter intolerância pois não é da sua espécie, não tem pus, não tem sangue misturado, não tem água oxigenada e o mais importante, não tem sofrimento. Chick Peas on Toast! This protein packed breakfast is super healthy and super easy to make! Just fry off some #shallots then add some #garlic and some spices, I used smoked paprika, sweet paprika and #cinnamon cook for a couple of minutes then add some plum tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes or so until the sauce thickens then add your #proteinpower #chickpeas and cook until heated through! Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar and serve on your choice of bread. Bake the pancake until you see small bubbles on the surface. Then flip and bake the other side again for 1 maximum 2 minutes. . By @alexafuelednaturally RECIPE Ingredients: 1/2 cup raw cashews 2 cups filtered water 16 ounces cremini mushrooms 1 tbsp avocado oil 1 tbsp vegan butter 2 tbsp nutritional yeast 2 tbsp tomato paste 5-7 sundried tomatoes, sliced (I used sundried tomatoes in oil) 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper To serve: Brown or white rice Cilantro or fresh herbs Directions: 1. To a large pan over medium heat add 1 tbsp avocado oil or oil of choice. Add mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper.... then add 1 tbsp vegan butter and sauté for an additional 5 minutes. 2. In a blender combine raw cashews (no you don’t have to soak cashews ) and filtered water. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Takes 1-2 minutes. 3. Pour the cashew milk over mushrooms, then add nutritional yeast, garlic powder, tomato paste, chopped sun dried tomatoes, stir to combine and lower heat & let simmer until the sauce slightly thickens. Simmer for 3 minutes, taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Adding salt and pepper to your liking. 4. Coconut lemon tart by @vegamelon 🧡 . no-bake coconut lemon tart (for an 18cm pan): CRUST: -1 1/2 cup rolled oats -1/2 cup desiccated coconut -2 tbsp cocoa powder -3 tbsp maple syrup -1/4 cup nut butter FILLING: -1 cup full-fat coconut milk -1/2 cup almond milk -1/3 cup maple syrup -1 tsp vanilla extract -juice and zest of 1 lemon; adjust to taste -1 tbsp cornstarch -2 tsp agar-agar -optional coloring: turmeric powder In a food processor, blend the crust ingredients into a sticky, sand-like mixture. Transfer to a greased tart pan and press into the edges, then set aside to chill. In a pot on medium-low heat, combine the milks and bring to a simmer while stirring well. Mix in remaining filling ingredients, then remove from heat and whisk until well-combined. Let cool for 7-8 minutes and pour into the prepared tart crust.
