I think leafy greens are the grossest foods on this planet and unfortunately, they are some of the healthiest foods for you. I eat 90% of my leafy greens in liquid form. . . Kale is a bit more nutrient dense compared to spinach, but it is pretty objectively worse in flavor and texture. Kale is about 10x higher in Vitamin C than spinach. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that assists certain enzymes in the formation of L-carnitine (necessary for fat metabolism), dopamine, and adrenaline. . . Kale is also incredibly high in Vitamin A. Vitamin A is necessary for maintaining healthy vision, skin, and fighting free radical damage. Нам понадобится - лаваш тонкий - творог брикетный 200 грамм - абрикосы (предварительно пюрированные) 100 грамм - яйцо - подсластитель по желанию . FB thinks I am 2 different people... 😂😂 I belong to a private FB group for weight loss and it’s #facetofacefriday so I created this. Yes I lost 91 lbs in a year, and more importantly have reversed diabetes type 2 and no longer take the 9 prescriptions I needed just to function. There are a few reasons I lost the weight... My lunch today was a salmon BLT (minus the T) salad. This was a yummy and healthy lite salad. I’m trying to find my way back to the healthier side and enjoy my healthier foods again. I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend. Happy Saturday night! I spent much of my day on food prepping. Dinner was scrumptious!! 😋😋😋 • Broccoli, butternut squash, Brussels sprouts and red bell pepper roasted with dried oregano and basil, avocado oil, salt and pepper. • • Oven at 400 F for the veggies and chicken, I wrapped 3 breasts in foil after seasoning them with oil, salt and pepper, paprika, garlic powder, garlic cloves, fresh parsley and sage leaves. The chicken made a delicious juice and the breasts were fall apart tender and flavorful!! • • I baked the chicken on the lower shelf of the oven and roasted the veggies on the top. EGG FAST DAY 1 🥚 • My first ever egg fast day is complete! 1 down, 2 to go. I actually am in bed while writing this at the end of the day and I don’t feel as hungry as I thought I would have which is a nice surprise. I started the day out with some scrambled eggs (3), then lunch was cream cheese pancakes (3) and finished off the day with a pizza crust topped w/ vegemite (1). Not to bad so far and not sick of eggs yet. So I wanted to pop on here and post some of my transformation pictures. I realize I still have such a long ways to go but after scrolling through my pictures, I am just in awe of how far I’ve come on this journey. For #facetofacefriday I’m posting a picture of when I was at my highest weight trying to do something I thought I could do successfully. I tried to “run” a 5k race. Truth is, I walked the whole thing practically and felt so ashamed because I asked Aden’s sister and brother in law to join me and I think back to how stupid I felt because here I was asking people to join me in something I couldn’t even do. I had a lot of fun going but was so embarrassed how I thought I could actually run that. I’ve come such a long way and I’m slowly working my way up to being able to run a 5k. Starting can be the hardest part, trust me, I know. A few years ago I found myself weighing over 500 pounds. Day 1 at the gym was HARD! It was not only physically challenging but mentally challenging as well. I felt embarrassed, angry, and wanted to quit 5 minutes in. I felt defeated. But I never gave up. Here I am, now 350 pounds lighter but still the same girl, laying in the exact same spot at the gym, and now, more determined than ever to continue to be better, stronger, healthier and to continue living my life- a life I almost lost due to my weight many years ago. Sometimes we don’t want to try something because we are afraid to fail. We doubt ourselves before we even try and think, it’s is better not to even try that way we do not fail. But what I say is, how will you ever know what you are capable of if you never try! That same girl who was laying on that grass, out of breathe, defeated, all red in the face and ready to quit...what would have happened if she never stood back up and kept fighting? That is something I never want to think about! If you keep trying, and if you keep standing back up, and trying your best, then you can never really fail. Sorry I’ve been M.I.A lately. I’ve been very busy at work and feeling so exhausted buy like 10am or 11am. Then having pain on my shoulder and back and it’s been super uncomfortable for me. Tonight’s dinner was inspired by tomorrow’s plans. I’m planning to attend 3 social events tomorrow, all 3 will revolve around food. Tonight’s dinner needed to be light. Also, in anticipation of tomorrow’s events, I got a fresh manicure and I wanted to keep it fresh😊 Tonight’s dinner needed to be nearly effortless. Here’s what I came up with. I sautéed 1/2 a bag of chopped kale in avocado oil with 1/2 a small chopped red onion and 1 clove of garlic, drizzled it with lemon juice and topped it with some sliced leftover chicken.
