Just ordered this new scale thanks to much recommendation my @_jens_journey_ and her followers. (Available on amazon) I’m excited for more detailed information on my journey as I’m afraid that I won’t get accurate readings with fat calipers. My weight has stayed within the same 5-6lb range since June which is absolutely frustrating as I’m becoming more consistent with food, water intake and increased workouts. I hope my body fat percentage is changing and I’m going through a little bit of a body recomposition since I have been upping weights at gym, adding in running and more protein. 5 years. 👋 (Important) Facebook has kindly reminded me that another year has passed, that I'm getting old, and that I'm hopefully healthier than I used to be. I refuse to say that I was ever ‘fat.’ I had a lot of fat, granted, I still do, but I was never just ‘fat.’ I was, and still am, a human being. According to Wikipedia, ‘fat’ is just adipose tissue, and I barely know what that is, so it’s definitely not who I am. 🤷‍♂️ I chose these 2 photos because I was genuinely happy in both of them. Happiness isn’t just the number on the scales; it’s the ability to love yourself and the people around you. Social media makes everything look easy…BUT it does not show the whole story. New program is feeling really good. I wasn't sure how my body would feel doing this upper lower split but it has been changeling as it's heavier weight in lower reps. My calories weren't that high yesterday as I felt full after doing the higher calorie day. I did have some sushi and a footlong at subway. I use to hate myself so ferociously. ‘You’re a badass’ was the first “self help” book that I ever gave a shot and honestly it changed my brain. My weight today is not my lowest but it’s still at the -50lb loss mark! 4.5 months isn’t long at all to lose FIFTY flipping pounds. So I tend not to show what I'm drinking because well it's mostly coffee and shitty sugar free juice to be honest but I'm trying to move towards being more sustainable/ self reliant. . I may have hesitated to post this. BUT- The photos marked with date are clearly at my heaviest. Glancing through photos, I began to remember everything I would feel being at that stage in my life. Can I be honest with you? I felt like I had cheated. Yesterday, I went to see a Registered Dietician. After a difficult discussion with our Infertility Specialist, we came to the decision for me to meet with a Registered Dietician. I felt like a FAILURE. I work out 5-6x/week, I eat mostly an 80/20 balance of nutritional food. WHY can’t I see enough success that I now need to see a Registered Dietician? When it came time for my appointment, I sat in a little office with my RD. She looked over the food I eat and said that she had “no concerns” over my nutrition. WHAT? What am I doing here then? After 2 minutes of speaking with her, she nailed me on the head. I am an EMOTIONAL EATER. I eat out of boredom, out of stress, out of habit, out of time. She had no concerns whatsoever in WHAT I was eating but my RELATIONSHIP with eating. I discovered that I had been grouping my foods into “GOOD” and “BAD” categories, which she encouraged me to consider all food GOOD, but just know what is BEST. She sat with me for a full hour and provided me with so much information, brought around so much emotion and allowed me to start my journey towards developing a better mental relationship with food. So, do I still feel like I had cheated? Absolutely NOT. I was pointed to a path that I clearly need to travel down. It’s definitely a detour I didn’t see coming but I think that it will be all worth it in the end in a journey to continue improving myself. Don’t ever let the stigma of something deter you from trying it. I felt lost when my Doctor recommended a consult with the RD. But, after visiting with her, I now know WHY and feel more empowered than ever.

transformationtuesday 💛✨ Before I say anything please IGNORE my disgusting facial expression in the bottom left pic, my dad was trying to kiss me on Christmas Day and clearly I wasn’t impressed 😂 . Just over a stone difference between these pics. Christmas 2018 -> Barcelona 2019. This was last Christmas just before I joined SW again after gaining all of my weight back that I had lost. So 1 stone 4.5lbs between these two pictures! Which is me having a unhealthy BMI to my target weight 💛 . I don’t really care what anybody says about my weight loss. I did not loose the weight for anybody else but myself. I felt disgusting and uncomfortable with myself so I did something about it. Luckily my mum is a SW consultant so I’ve always managed to realise when I needed to get back on plan. Instead of constantly making excuses to being off plan, leading to me gaining more weight! . . And now I feel amazing. Being at target is difficult and it stresses me out daily as I just can’t maintain. But I’m trying and I will never let myself feel disgusting ever again. If you’re currently in a rut and struggling to shift your weight loss or to stay on plan 100%, you can do it, sometimes life just gets away but if you really really want it, you can achieve whatever you want.
