Recipe below :: Double choc cookies w/ pana_organic ice cream. Gluten free, and refined sugar free w/ dairy free options. Makes 8 cookies Ingredients: *3/4 cup of almond meal *1/4 cup of coconut flour *4 tablespoons of cacao *2/3 cup of coconut sugar *1/2 teaspoon of baking soda *1/2 cup of organic butter or coconut oil, melted *1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract *1 organic egg *1/2 cup of dark refined sugar free chocolate, chopped *Sea salt flakes (optional) Method: 1.Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius and line a baking tray (I cook it on the conventional setting) 2.In a bowl combine almond meal, coconut flour, coconut sugar and baking soda. 3.In a separate bowl whisk the egg, butter and vanilla extract 4.Combine the wet mixture into the dry and mix until it forms a cookie dough 5.Fold in chopped chocolate 6.Set in fridge for 10 minutes 7.Divide mixture into 7-8 cookie balls and spread out and flatten on cooking tray, leaving enough room for cookies to expand and spread! 8.Cook for 8-10 minutes (fan forced) 4-5 minutes (Conventional) (When you take the cookies out of the oven they should look light golden brown and still feel soft as they will harden as they cool down, YOU DON'T WANT TO OVERCOOK, KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE OVEN!

I was treated to a lovely Spa Saturday at deparsalon I was pampered with a facial, manicure, predicate, hair wash and blow dry. For someone who has never done a facial, I was a little nervous but from beginning to end, the depar team went an extra mile to take good care of me. As soon as I entered, I was given a form to fill, that enquired about my skin type and everything that worked and didn’t work, for my skin. I was then treated to a therapeutic ‘Skeyndor’ facial. The facialist was very gentle, explained everything patiently to me and was commendable at what she did. My face felt fresh, soft and rejuvenated post that. I, then, went for my manicure and pedicure. I was very impressed with the arrangement of the session. The team who massaged my hands and feet were very interactive and kept checking on the amount of pressure they were using for my massage. The skincare services at depar blew me away. They paid attention to detail and give you exactly what your skin needs. Lastly, I went for a hair wash and blow dry, and loyal to their standards, depar delivered a lovely hair pampering session. The team was warm, the place was clean and the services were excellent. Thank you deparsalon for a lovely salon experience.

4 months sober. Before and after. I can’t see much difference between the before and after picture. So good at hiding how I felt inside (usually nauseated, in pain, bad head, down, anxious, to name a few). When I look at the before and after I see the internal change more. Deeper sleep Low anxiety Boundaries Able to say sorry and admit when I’m wrong Balanced (the same all the time Stronger in mind, body and spirit. I listed these and more in Sober Mum Club on Facebook and a member reminded me of evening supermarket trips to get things my family needs, something I wasn’t able to do when drinking. It’s the small but hugely significant things I can do now. Getting up early to go the gym, 6.30 is my new workout time. I’m still working things out, I still can’t wake up from those deep sleeps on non-gym days. But oh, the whole says without anxiety are enough of a reason. Are you sober/teetotal?
