*Week 18 Update Fam* . 𝟚𝟘 𝕂𝕘𝕤 𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟! Reached another milestone (almost felt like waves in the ocean to get here). When my weight loss journey started I expected to loose weight in a somewhat linear pattern. At that stage I obviously wasn’t aware of many things. I was aware about basic things like hitting a plateau but that was it. Unfortunately, that happened only for couple of weeks and then there were days where I’d put on a kg and then I’d drop it only after couple of days. This is bound to happen. Humans like to know what’s coming, and when something unexpected comes our way, we are thrown off. Especially when you believe what you are doing is right, and still the number on the scales aren’t changing it could get frustrating. With 18 weeks of experience, I can tell you it’s important to stay the course because it could be other reasons that maybe affecting the weight. It could possibly be water retention, undigested food, mental stress and so on. What’s crucial is to STICK TO the calorie deficit no matter what. This mind set was challenging earlier but I have come to a point where I’ve accepted that it is just a test of my mental strength. I am still working on this! . This may sound repetitive but the fact is that following calorie deficit and tracking macros has been the only way that I’ve been able to kill fat. This is also definitely not the last time I’m going to say this. I’ve come across many people who mention different things such as, eating cheese is bad, too much fruit is bad, eating after 8:00pm is bad. People are just bombarded with so much information that they are too afraid to follow things. The amount of calories consumed and burnt throughout the day is what matters. I wouldn’t support eating too much processed food but in saying that I wouldn’t say don’t include it at all. Nutrient based foods should be almost 80% to 90% what you eat daily . I am happy hitting these milestones although I know I have a very long way to go! Baby steps it is. . Thank you all once again for being so supportive.
