Brace yourself it’s a long one guys... I always say to myself “it’s not worth it”. This cookie is not worth it. This pasta is not worth it. This rice won’t taste as good as skinny feels. But sometimes it is worth it and you just have to know and trust yourself enough to understand when you’re trying to talk yourself into cheating and when you actually deserve to cheat. It’s all about balance and learning what works for you in the long run. There’s no point in losing 20 pounds on grilled chicken and veggies when you know you can’t eat that every day for the rest of your life (p.s. you’re going to just gain it back) Change habits. When I was going hardcore I had 1 cheat meal a week. 1 meal. Not one day not one afternoon. One meal. And I didn’t have soda with the meal or alcohol I just ate my one meal in bliss. That’s what worked for me... I had the whole week to look forward to my Saturday gnocchi and chicken parm and that made it worth me not eating all the cereal and rice during the week. Now I’m doing 2 full days 🤣 Anytime I really crave something I try 2 things: 1. I try to make a healthier version of it (fat free instead of full fat, substitute the starchy carbs etc.) I actually find this really fun. Pizza, lasagna, Mexican bowls... all doable in a healthier version. If you’re craving something DM me I’ll give you options 2. I try to eat something because 90% of the time I’m just hungry and my brain defaults to the fatty foods I’m use to. The most important thing is to not make excuses to eat like shit. Having a bad day and having a great day aren’t excuses to binge. You can have a fancy dinner and order salmon with asparagus and you can be stressed and eat an enlightened ice cream with sugar free chocolate and a banana and still sulk. I’ve been off track (for the most part) since my birthday, which was nearly 3 weeks ago 🙈 I’ve been eating (and drinking 😆) whatever I want, without a care in the world. Not even bothering to open my @ww app most days. Eating my meals and gorging myself on snacks just because I could. I stepped on the scale this morning and I’m up about 4 pounds from my last Lifetime weigh in on May 25th, and still within Lifetime range 🙏🏻. It could honestly be way worse, but I’ve at least been working out a lot these last 3 weeks and drinking lots of water, so the damage isn’t as bad as it could have been. But more than the number on the scale, I just feel yuck! I feel fluffy, bloated, and not my best self. So today, I’m getting back to it. I’ll be tracking my food, keeping up my workouts and drinking ALL the water. If you are struggling like I have been, all it takes is one good decision. Decide to do better and make it happen. This is progress (don’t worry- I didn’t see it at first either). At first when I saw this picture I pulled out all of my flaws. I saw my cellulite and rolls. I saw my wide hips and a shirt that’s a 2X that I’m still wearing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But what you can’t see is that these are a juniors size 16 shorts (from Walmart) that fit, button and are comfortable. Trader Joe’s *COPYCAT* Reduced fat chicken salad, same #smartpoints, less $$$$ 🙌🏻 I’ve basically been craving the chicken salad that I bought Saturday from Trader Joe’s and wanted it every day for lunch this week but at almost 5 dollars each I just couldn’t drop $25 on prepackaged salads 😬 so I bought the fixings, which was only a couple of ingredients anyway, and will be having this 4sp salad for lunch each day. Found at @costco, these @cellowhisps are one of my favorite snacks that is both #lowcarb and #ww friendly. This variety pack from #costco contains 7 individually wrapped portions of both Parmesan and Cheddar flavors for 14 total bags. The Parmesan flavor is 3 SmartPoints and the cheddar flavor is 4. I love these cheese crisps but I always found that sticking to the recommended serving suggestion was really hard. However, I definitely have better self control with these pre-portioned bags so I was excited to find them! New York was absolutely incredible last year. Tom & I went in February. It was snowing in Ireland. Our flight was one of the only flights to leave Dublin Airport that day. It was honestly one of the best few days of my life - sometimes I feel sad when I think about how much more we could have done with our time in NYC if I had been healthier & more fit. We didn't get to enjoy a lot of our holidays to the full up to this point. We went to London in January & I struggled to get the seatbelt to close on me. This just makes me realise just how kind & patient Tom is. 🥰 Looking back at these pictures only makes me more motivated to become the healthiest & happiest version of myself possible. Vic's Ginger and Pear Cake🍐 ZERO You all need this cake in your life. I'm so happy with how this turned out. It got the double thumbs up from my top tasters, mum and Dave (my husband) This will be on your weekly meal prep for sure. What you need 👇 2 cans of chickpeas drained and rinsed well. 15 fresh medjool dates, pitted and soaked in hot water for 5 minutes. 1 tbsp crushed ginger. You could use fresh or powdered. Add more if you prefer. 2 tsp baking powder. 6 eggs I can of pears in natural juice drained. 1 tbsp vanilla essence. What to do 👇 Preheat your oven to 180° fan. Prepare your pans. What I used is in my highlights 👆this is the PERFECT pan for portion control bought on @amazon This would easily make a couple of loafs or one large cake. Place pears at the bottom of the pan. Process chickpeas and dates until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and process. Taste the batter to make sure it's sweet enough and the ginger is the right amount for you. Pour batter over the pears. Bake for 50 minutes. Until skewer comes out clean. Serves 🤔 well its Zero so you decide. I got 8 cake slices and another cake that serves 3-4. So 12 massive portions.
