Sometimes my part-Amercan genes really shine through. Like when I want to eat my blue cheese sauce by the spoonful.
But come on, don't judge! Just make this, and then try not to do the same.

Do you think you could stop yourself??
You know, there's still time for a few more barbecues this summer. And if you're looing for something healthy yet yummy then I've got just the thing for you.
This chicken with lemon basil marinade is super tender, full of flavor and so easy to make - I'm sorry but there's no excuses, you really should be making this asap.
Just run over to https://alwaysusebutter.com/easy-chicken-marinade-with-lemon-basil/ (link in profile @alwaysusebutter) and grab th recipe.
So - are you making this today, or waiting until tomorrow? ;)
I love eating carbs and butter and drinking my wine. But I still wanna be kinda healthy so what do I do? I add healthy stuff to all the rest.
A green smoothie is such a great way to start the day of in a healthy way! I mean, if you have lots of good stuff first thing then you're pretty much off the hook for the rest of the day (or well, at least a bit MORE of the hook).
This Green Mango Smoothie is my favorite! It's my go-to weekend smoothie as it's a bit sweet for me for a weekday - but on the other hand, it's so tasty it doubles as dessert.

And for number one - without a doubt - it's the magic mocktail, it's the 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝘂𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘀.
Easy to make and refreshing as hell, with no sugar or other unhealthy stuff - it's just a tasty drink that you're allowed to sip all day, every day, if that's your thing.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿? Well @pipingpotcurry among others gave it a nice boost on Pinterest and all of a sudden I started seeing similar versions everywhere. Coincidence or not - the whole concept of no alcohol, no sugar, but lots of taste seems to resonate - and why shouldn't it?!

The second most popular recipe this past year was is a really good one, but one that did not turn out at all like it was supposed to: 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗻-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮. (Yes, my readers like their chicken, and especially their chicken pasta!)
I was supposed to add loads of other stuff to this pasta, but stopped and tasted and realized it didn't even need anything more. All of a sudden it was a much simpler dish, but with so much flavor it might just knock your stilettos off (or sneakers, who am I to tell you what shoes to wear).
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿? Good question. I mean, it's a really yummy pasta dish, I could probably eat it like every day it's THAT good. Andi t has chicken which seems to be the secret to recipe success. And it's really easy to make. And.. OK, now I kinda get it.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿?
The 3rd top recipe this past year is one of the first, and one of my absolute favorites: the Creamy Red Wine Chicken Pasta.
The first recipe to earn me a Google # 1 spot (if you're a #foodblogger, you know how big a deal this is!!) and also the first recipe I created from scratch with the blog in mind. The rest of the early recipes were mainly old classics I'd made a million times or something I created my own version of based on a bunch of other similar recipes. But this one, this one was all me.
Fun fact? I know at least one person has this as her go-to date night cook-to-impress dish. And as far as I've heard, it works ;)
Why it's so popular? Well, now that fall is coming around again how do YOU feel about red wine, mushrooms, garlic, thyme, chicken and pasta? Uhu, I thought so. Want a glass of red to go with that?

Why do you think this one became so popular?
The 4th most popular recipe on my blog this past year: a 15-minute Chicken Teriyaki Stir-fry.
Healthy, quick & super tasty - this one I whipped up for myself for lunch about a year ago and knew immediately - this is why I have a blog! Eat as it is for a low carb meal that will still fill you up (that's what I do!) or add some rice if that's your thing.
Oh and use that homemade teriyaki sauce for everything...
Why it's popular? Quick. Healthy. Absolutely delicious. Need any more reason?

Why do you think this is one of the top 5 most popular recipes?
The 5th most popular recipe on my blog this past year: Duck a L'Orange.
An all-time favorite in my book, and I'm happy so many of you like it as well. It's my number one choice whenever I wanna make a fancy dinner for a crowd, and that's why it was part of the always use butter NYE menu last year.
Why it's popular? I'd say because it's a simpler take on a time consuming classic, with all the taste but none of the fuss. Easy to make and you can have it almost done long before the guests arrive.

Why do you think this is one of the top 5 most popular recipes?
Today marks a year since I started blogging. It's gone by so fast, and at the same time it feels like 10 years have passed. I've learned so much, made so many mistakes, and had so much fun (and good food!!!).
So what happened this past year? I went from 0 followers here to more than 2000. 0 followers on Facebook to 600+. 0 views on my blog to ~15 000/month. I learned about SEO, Pinterest, and above all - food photography.
That's why I chose this picture for this post. This shoot is without a doubt the one I'm happiest with so far - and the first one where I felt that "OK, I've got this." I still have things to learn of course, but when I look back at my early photos and compare them to today - I've come so far, and am beyond excited to see where I'm at in another year.
What I want to say with this is - in one year, you'll wish you started today. So do it. Start today. With whatever it is you're putting off - a blog, a side business, working out, ending a relationship... I'm so grateful to Emmeline of 1 year ago for starting this, without her I'd still be at 0.

Tired of having dry sandwiches and boring pasta salads every time you go on a roadtrip or picnic? I HEAR YOU!
I used to be one of those people who would rather spend my last 100 SEK on gas station food than bring my own.But no more! Since I created these wraps a few years ago I make them EVERY TIME I need something to bring with me. I just love them. They're delicious enough for foodie me, they're easy enough for non-foodie moms and simple enough even kids like them.Try them for yourself - you won't be disappointed!
